It is hard to believe, that here I am a reporter, in an imaginary world. It was just a few years back, that I used to brag, that I would die computer illiterate. What a crazy wonderful world, that we live in!
It is my intention to awaken our Sim’s world to the bargain breeding possibilities in the Golden State. The simple fact is California racing and breeding is among the best in the world!! Today I will take a look at some of the possibilities…
1.) ATTICUS
NUREYEV x SECRETARIAT x LUTHIER
In real-life ATTICUS was a multiple stakes winner of over 1.2 million dollars. By chef-to-race stallion NUREYEV(sire of over 137 sws) and out of the stakes winning SECRETARIAT mare, ATYHKA. ATTICUS himself, has sired more than 114 winners and 8 stakes winners, in just 7 crops to race. including Florida Derby winner HIGH FLY(winner of over 927k). He stand for $5000us live foal.
In the Sim, ATTICUS has 88 winners from 128 starters(68.8%) and 2 stakes winners. a 43k per runner average.
2.) DEVON LANE
STORM CAT x RELAUNCH x MAJESTIC PRINCE
In real-life DEVON LANE was life time 6-3-0-0, going undefeated in his first 3 starts. By STORM CAT(sire of 155 stakes winners) and out of the multiple stakes producing RELAUNCH mare, TO THE HUNT. DEVON LANE himself has sired 108 winners from 150 starters(72%), with earnings over 5.4 million dollars. He stands for $4000 live foal.
In the Sim, DEVON LANE has sired 7 winners from 18 starters(38.9%) over 5yrs. (not many chances), with earnings of 256k or 14k+ per runner. he is doing much better as a DS, with 51% winners, 1 stakes horse, and a 26k average per runner.
3.) DEL MAR SHOW
THEATRICAL x FOOLISH PLEASURE x TORSION
In real-life DEL MAR SHOW was a multiple stakes winner of over 1 million dollars. Winning 13 races from 2-9yrs old. By THEATRICAL(sire of 74 stakes winners) and out of the multiple stakes producing FOOLISH PLEASURE mare, PRANKSTRESS. entered stud in 2007. He stands for $2500 live foal.
In the Sim, DEL MAR SHOW hasn’t had much of a chance with just 1 winner from 5 starters(13k+ average. per runner) over 2 seasons.

My suggestion is to just mix different combinations in the hypo-mater “blender”. You will be surprised and hopefully well rewarded for your efforts.

His record is 1-0-1-0, he was second in a msw as the longest shot on the board at 30-1, running against some well-bred horses and posting a sp rating of 67 as a 2yr old in his first start. So although the jury may still be out, I think there is promise there.
In conclusion, I feel that with some time, research, and effort, a quality horse with excellent bloodlines can be bred for a BARGAIN price!!
