Welcome to the Polar Bear Cup, 1 of 12 races on the card here in Sweden and the 5th Leg of 6 in the Euro Series of 2023. The Series will conclude in Belgium in November so be sure to tune in there as well. We will be having 9 starters here on a Firm Turf course this afternoon and look forward to a real battle here today.

With exception of starting the season in an ALW where he won, Tete Karg has done only Gr III the rest of this season and with a 2nd finish as his best early he has struggled with poor PP’s and will be testing a first time 7F which will his longest distance ever. Here’s hoping jockey B. Ampe will provide the fresh look needed.

Winner of this race last year and back to defend the title. Has jockey Jacobsson back in the saddle and looks to be up in the pace ready to pounce at the top of the stretch. The veteran in the field by age and races is hoping for magic again in what could be a sharp decline after this season as he has no wins and pair of 4th in some STK races this year so far.

First time Graded runner and out of the state of CA. Last ran this distance 2 yrs ago in his only STK where he 4th. Out of the #3 hole will benefit this one as he loves to be the pacesetter. ALW is where he’s been at this year with a couple of wins in 4 starts so maybe will catch some sleeping here and could steal it wire to wire?

Morning line fav and leading $ earner in this race. Has raced only Gr I II and III races only this season with a couple of wins (Gr I/Gr III) in his 5 starts. How ever all starts were a mile distance, the positive is he likes to set the pace so shortening up can only help. Jockey Drosos comes back after a year absence where is pulled out 2nd on this one.

The most wins in the field and local SAF champion looks to test 7F for the first time. Has been here since late Aug after a 3rd in Gr III Green Turban. Trainer Tees has been putting him through some solid works to get him used to a possible different attack/conditioning with so much speed in here and the added distance he’s not used too.

Won last time out 8.25F in a ALW prep with definitely eyes on this race. Jockey Coker will take over the saddle as reg jock O. Rann has decided to stay in NZ.

Has been ITM for all 5 races this season and 4 at this distance. You can see Owner Liam has a plan in place with a 3rd graded race in a row after slowly bringing him along.
