15 lay the smackdown on the turf

We have finally arrived her in New York for the tri-residency Smackdown competition. This is the fourth installment of this adventure to bring the best horses from the residencies to compete in stakes races for the bragging rights as the best residency in the sim. The Grsimsters have won this contest every year. They are also looking forward to doing that again this year. The challengers are the Delpenn residency and the Minnesota residency. Five horses from each residency will line up to gain points for there residency. Here are the runners.

Delpenn

R LOYAL MAN(KY) -coming in off a third place effort with a 104sf. Cuts back to six panels here.
SEEKIN DESTROY – has been running in top competition of late. Last race was a sixth place finish in the G1 golden jamboree with a 102sf.
CONSPIRATOR – coming off a second place effort in the G3 Hyperactive handicap with a 107sf. The race before he put up a monster 113sf. Will be tough if he runs back to that race.
LIBERTINE(IRE) – entered in here off a pair of 106sf and 111sf. Might be the most consistent runner in here. I would say no worse than fourth.
NO MORE NO MORE(ENG) – might be the one to beat in here with nice wins in back to back races with a 111 and 112.

The Team
This might be a good place for delpenn to get some points. I think that they have the horse to beat and have a few that might surprise.

Minnesota

CAUGHT N THE STORM -easily won his last race but that was on dirt. His last time sprinting on the lawn was a 114sf. Might move up with the dirt/turf angle.
BE SHARP ER – has been running triple digit speed figures. Steps up in class here might be a threat if he runs back to form.
IMMUTABLE(NZ) – coming in off back to back allowance wins. Looks like he loves this distance and should run a 103 or better here.
AGRESTIC(KY) this one is a little puzzling, I think this one might need more ground but you never can tell how they will run. Ran a nice 102 at six and a half, how will that go to six?
NINE UNDER -seems to be on the outside looking in. looks to be out classed in here. Would make a nice allowance horse.

The Team
Caught in the storm Looks like the best hope for points here and he has some question marks. They might be giving up some points to the other residencies but they could come out of here with a few to.

Grsimsters
PERFECT DRAGON(KY) – had a nice allowance win with a 109sf last out. He was distanced in his stakes try the race before. Seems to be improving.
CAPTAIN AMAZING(KY) – is coming off a nice second place effort in the G1 golden jamboree at today’s distance with a 107sf.
ENDS IN SKI – in today off a well run second place finish in a listed stakes event. Cuts back in distance today.
SPEIGHTFUL – when he fires he runs in the 100sf range and when he is a little off it goes into the 90’s. If he fires he will be close.
DARK PROPHET – distance might be a little short. Should be coming from mid pack and might start too late.

The team
Looks like the simsters might not be winning this race but this is a talented group. If Captain Amazing runs back to his last should be a threat. Ends in ski might also improve off the turn back.
