Resident Rider pulls out victory

Jeu Peacock took the earlier lead in front of Mickey Mouse and Cozzane Hill. Mickey Mouse started to fade though and J. Bluehorse brought Wampus Cat back into the picture around the 5 furlong marker.

At the 7 furlong marker Wampus Cat decided to take the lead and Bluehorse let him go. Jeu Peacock faded and Cozzane Hill couldn’t keep up.

Wampus Cat would have won handily if not for a powerful stretch run by Yepes who got within 3 lengths for the place. Wampus paid $12.40 to win and the exacta with yepes paid out $63.80.
