Controversy shakes the Conglomerate

In yet another controversy that has rocked Conglomerate racing, Wolfgang Vansheen has sunk to a new low by entering a non qualified horse into the Ruby Slipper.

With entry acceptances just 9 hours away, the nomination has sparked international fury namely to Champion Lodge head trainer Deyoto Lefranse.

‘I’m not sure what his caper is. The filly came in in 7th placing and it was clearly agreed upon in the lead up to the Ruby Slipper that only the first 6 horses across the line from each of the preludes would qualify for the final, not 7 as in the Christmas Slipper. He has a strong hand already, let’s hope he sees sense and scratches this filly as it will surely dampen Conglomerate relations.’

It is the 2nd such controversial incident in this year’s Ruby Slipper after trainer Luca Gilberto raised eyebrows when trying to enter a filly in the colts’ prelude however quickly responded to international concerns by withdrawing the filly.

History has shown us that while on the surface the Conglomerate are a competitive but close knit group, that deeper down there is a mass of chaos and deception.

Two years ago there was the infamous Rainbow Quest debarcle which dampened relations between Wolfgang Vansheen and Deyoto Lefranse but the present stunt that ‘the Slipper King’ has pulled is clearly setting a new standard in punching below the belt.
