NY Sires Series – The Dog Pound sends a LONG RANGE MISSILE (NY) to victory!
A heroic effort falls short of target.
NY Sire Series (apply on forum) — Owner Restricted Purse: $50,000
All horses, 3 years old
Six furlongs — Good Dirt
Time of race: 1:11 4/5
We had a great turn out for the first race! Seventeen horses showed up for the first race in the NY Sires Series. Unfortunately, only a handful of horses seemed to be able to handle the track conditions.
EVERYBODY’S HERO(NY) jumped out to a narrow early lead and held the lead till the 3rd call. MARLINA(NY) kept it close till the 2nd call and then started to fall off the pace. LONG RANGE MISSILE(NY) kept close to the front and managed to kick it up a notch for the victory. THE EYES OF RASH(NY) came from the middle of the pack to snatch the show.
ALL GOLDS CLUB(NY) deserves special mention due to the tremendous effort to come from 14th to 4th. This horse will be one to watch when we stretch it out to 7 furlongs.
Congrats to the stable owners!

Their horses grabbed the QL for the qualification lock into the NY Sires Series $250,000 Showdown.
For the bettors out there: the winner paid $50.60, the exacta paid $609.90, and the trifecta paid $23,778.90.
The next race in the series is a 7f MSW in week 3581. We are still accepting new entries. Breed up a new 3yo horse (credit sale in April) or pick one up in the auction. If you have an existing horse with a win, you still have a chance to qualify for entry into the $250,000 NY Sire Showdown in July (see NY Sires thread on the forum for rules).
