Bleep Ela Dubai Takes The JONATHON’S COZZENE

It was a beautiful day here in Tennessee, with beautiful blue skies and temps in the 60’s, it was a perfect day for racing. Racing fans packed the stands for today’s stakes race, The JONATHON’S COZZENE Challenge. Seven nice mares made their way to the gate on the firm turf to battle it out to the wire to see who was the best today and once again, I was forced to eat my words as Bleep Ela Dubai showed the rest of the field just how to get the job done with ease. With an impressive speed of 111 and shattering the races previous by 1 1/5 second, Bleep Ela Dubai brought home her sixth straight win and shows no signs of slowing down.

Let’s do a quick recap. By the first call it was Peeples in the lead with Liberty Tree not far behind. Bleep Ela Dubai had settled into third with Foolish Chant just a whisker behind in fourth. Silver Glory sat in fifth just 3 1/4 lengths off the lead. Back in sixth was Our Flying Lass 5 3/4 lengths off the lead and trailing the pack was Sisson’s Puss E by 8 lengths, neither of these two posing any threat to the rest of the field.

At the half mile pole, things started happening. Bleep Ela Dubai starting making her push for the lead with Foolish Chant right on her heels and passing Liberty Tree and a failing Peeples. Silver Glory made her move to try to hunt down Liberty Tree. Sisson’s Puss E began making a move but found herself lacking and Our Flying Lass dropped to trail the rest of the field.

At the wire it was all Bleep Ela Dubai looking like she was just out for an afternoon gallop and with R Bokie in the irons for his 3rd year in a row winning The JONATHON’S COZZENE. Foolish Chant came in behind her by 2 3/4 lengths. Silver Glory managed to push by Liberty Tree to capture third with Liberty Tree fourth 2 1/2 lengths behind Silver Glory. Sisson’s Puss E managed to gain enough ground to take fifth just a 1/4 of a length behind Liberty Tree. Peeples ran out of steam and finished 6th, 14 lengths off the lead and Our Flying Lass, who apparently had some major difficulty today, finished a distant 7th.

Congratulations to xpletives3 for his win today with the nice looking mare Bleep Ela Dubai. Hope to see you all next week here in Tennessee.
