THEO’S TOP 10 WATCHLIST

Each week I will focus on one division (older male, older female, 3yo male, 3yo female, 2 year olds will start in June). The rankings are taken by the sim division rankings via stakepoints and I add a little comment to each horse. Note in my lists horses are only eligible to be one one list and must have run 3 races in a row in a division to be eligible for that condition. Also, if a horse runs 3 times in a row in another division they would be removed from the list as well.

The chart is listed with this weeks ranking, last weeks ranking, horse name, this weeks stake points, last week’s stake points and a brief comment on the horses recent performance.

The 3YO Filly division is featured this week.

Hope to see your horses on the top 10 watchlist soon.

3YO FEMALES—DIRT SPRINTS

(1) (NA)—MISCALCULATION(KY) (112) (NA)—takes the top of this division with a perfect 5/5 record after taking the Grade I Circusham last week.

(2) (2)—PORN STARR(KY)—(110) (104)—has raced at 8 furlongs or more in both 2008 starts so she will probably be changing categories after her next start.

(3) (1)—SILVER CITY GAL(KY)—(104) (104)—hopefully she can turn things around before she slides completely down the list.

(4) (3)—GILDED EDGE(KY)—(100) (92)—puts up a nice 101 speed rating in winning in Dubai last time out.

(5) (4)—TROPICAL TROPHY(KY)—(84) (84)—stretched out in distance last time out with poor results and that makes it 2 bad starts in a row.

(6) (6)—APPEAL THIS(KY)—(75) (67)—returns to sprinting and returns to the winners circle last time out in Missouri.

(7) (5)—CLEAR THE LEAD(IRE)—(70) (70)—has yet to show the stretch kick that won him the BB undercard race so far in a pair of 08 Michigan stake starts.

(8) (7)—RUBY GLOOM(TUR)—(64) (64)—she may have to drop down in class as she has struggled in a pair of Grade I starts so far in 2008.

(9) (NA)—POMEROY’S QUEST(FL)—(55) (NA)—8 top 3 finishes in a row including 2nd in a Grade I last week debuts this filly on the chart.

(10) (NA)—VHEISSU(KY)—(52) (NA)—broker her 4 race win streak last time out when she rallied for 3rd in Grade I race, but that was her first try against her top classmates.

3YO FEMALES—DIRT CLASSIC ROUTES

(1) (4)—NEHI ORANGE(KY)—(152) (88)—starts off 2008 with a stellar win in Grade I Vermont race posting a huge 105 speed rating to vault to the top of the chart here.

(2) (3)—BLACK FLAG FLYING(KY)—(128) (96)—4 race win streak was broken by the top one last time out but her 2nd place in Grade I Vermont event keeps her perfect for top 3 finishes in her career.

(3) (1)—TEN YEAR STORM(KY)—(113) (105)—eclipse award winner did not fire in Vermont Grade I last time out and hopefully she has better results in her next start.

(4) (2)—DEMONIC PRESENCE(KY)—(103) (103)—tired early in Florida Grade I last time out prompting her drop to an overnite stake in New Jersey this weekend.

(5) (6)—EE BRIGHT LIGHT(JPN)—(76) (68)—tried Grade I sprint after AZ overnite route win and that was not the results they were looking for.

(6) (5)—MINEES(KY)—(73) (73)—may have been a bit rusty in 08 debut at Vermont but all eyes will be on her next start to see if she can refind her 2 year old form.

(7) (NA)—LOVESTRUCK(KY)—(68) (NA)—made her first route start in Grade I Florida race and crushed the field while posting a 102 speed rating.

(8) (7)—MEAN GIRL(KY)—(67) (67)—has posted a pair of 5th place finishes so far in 08 and will need to find a little more in the stretch if she want to compete with the best in this class this year.

(9) (8)—AZZA MUSS(AUS)—(66) (66)—misses the board for the first time in her career in 08 debut in a disappointing effort in Grade I Vermont race.

(10) (9)—DREAMY CAT(KY)—(56) (56)—BB 2nd place finisher makes her debut this weekend in the California Oaks and hopefully she has been conditioned well to start after 12 week layoff.

3YO FEMALES—DIRT LONG ROUTES

THIS LIST WILL START LATER IN THE YEAR WHEN THE DIVISION HAS STRETCHED OUT IN DISTANCE.

3YO FEMALES—TURF SPRINTS

(1) (1)—STARRAHY EYED(KY)—(120) (88)—makes it 3 wins in a row by capturing Vermont Grade II event last time out.

(2) (2)—PROCLAIM THE TRUTH(IRE)—(112) (88)—rebounds from heartbreaking photo loss in Vermont with win in NC overnite stake last week.

(3) (3)—NOTIN TO CRY ABOUT(AUS)—(90) (86)—ran in Grade I NV mile last time out and results may have her return to sprinting next time out.

(4) (4)—RAH RAH RAH(KY)—(84) (80)—reversed running tactics in SD last time out and she just fell short in her rally but that is way better then losing ground in the stretch as was starting to become a problem.

(5) (5)—LEARAWI(ENG)—(76) (76)—another who tried a Grade I race while stretching in distance who on the results may return to sprinting next time out.

(6) (6)—KEPLER RSM(KY)—(76) (68)—HK sprint win last time out puts the 8 furlong German race behind her and may keep her in sprints for the near future.

(7) (8)—RIO CHIX(IRE)—(68) (60)—picks up confidence building win in short field IY overnite to hopefully set her up for her next start.

(8) (7)—BONEZIP RIP(KY)—(62) (62)—her easy 2 YO placements were a telling sign in her Graded debut in Vermont last time out.

(9) (NA)—FRESHNESS(NY)—(46) (NA)—this $35K claim finished out of the money for the first time for new owner after trying Grade I mile last time out suggesting another who will return to the sprint ranks in her next start.

(10) (NA)—TORCIO(JPN)—(44) (NA)—never worst than second this filly wired a FL 8 furlong stake last time out but her sprint speed ratings were higher so where she runs next is anybody’s guess.

3YO FEMALES—TURF CLASSIC ROUTES

(1) (1)—MIESQUE’S GOLD(SAF)—(208) (128)—eclipse award winner has a pair of wins and a 3rd in three Graded starts so far this year.

(2) (2)—CRIME BEAT(IRE)—(100) (84)—Grade III Triangular winner tired while stretching out to 9.5 furlongs last time out.

(5) (7)—HIGH MOTIONS(IRE)—(80) (68)—has finished in the money in all 3 starts so far in 2008 and it is only a matter of time before she finds the winners circle again.

(6) (4)—FLOWERATS(KY)—(78) (78)—just has not been able to carry her speed since the BB and perhaps a change in running style may be waranted as a try.

(7) (5)—DEEP DREAMS(JPN)—(77) (73)—has taken a frontrunning approach in her last 2 starts but has had to settle for 2nd place finishes both times.

(8) (6)—SENORITA HANAA(JPN)—(70) (70)—will make her debut in Ascot allowance this weekend in what is surely a prep for bigger things to come.

(9) (NA)—THUNDERLIPS(ENG)—(58) (NA)—BB 5th place finisher made her debut with a 2nd place finish in GE Grade I getting beaten only by the division leader in the race.

(10) (10)—FRIDAY HARBOUR(KY)—(48) (32)—has made it 3 wire to wire wins in a row now but can she do the same when the competion toughens up and the fields are larger than 4.
