The Dakota Tie(IRE) Stakes
Ya gotta love the sponsorship here in
(PP1 – 1/5) Sotto Voce, of the Sgtbones stable, is the odds on favorite in this one and for good reason. If you are looking for a ‘SURE’ thing, this is the entry of the day. Sotto Voce is a Kingmambo X Seattle Slew X Unbridled filly with 12 of 14 starts on the board, 6 of those 14 are wins. She currently ranks # 14 in the Turf Classic category with 86 Stakes points. This filly is a proven Stakes horse and consistently fires over 100 SP #s. Her last win came in ‘The Lillispelis Cup (G2)’. She has never gone over 9 ½ furlongs and with this one covering 10 ½ some of you may be nervous to place your money on her. Not this guy. If you want to take a chance and maybe earn some cash put your money on the # 2 horse, not here. Look for her to drop back outta the gate and then show everyone why they call her ‘Sotto Voce’ as she comes down the stretch. Easy win.
(PP2 – 5/2) Getaloadofthis, of the Fab19 stable, is the only entry that might be able to upset the odds on favorite. This Distorted Humor X Ela-Mana-Mou(IRE) X Turn-To filly currently ranks # 65 in the Turf Classic category with 25 Stakes points. She has more distance experience that Sotto Voce having gone 9 ½ furlongs twice and 10 furlongs once, firing around 90 SP # each time. I don’t think that will be good enough to upset Sotto Voce, but they don’t call her Getaloadofthis for nothing. This filly won a turf race in
(PP3 – 24/1) Defect(NZ), of the Encores stable, takes the honor of ‘Longshot.’ This Colombia(NZ) X Baryshnikov(AUS) X Master Willie(GB) filly has only fired over an 80 SP # once in her 15 race career. She would have to run a career race to even finish in the top 3 in this one. Defect(NZ) belongs in claiming or starter company, not Stakes company. Dead last.
(PP4 – 5/1) Saucy Girl, of the Computer stable, is a late entry into this field. This Langfuhr X Cozzene X Garthorn filly is currently ranked # 365 in the Turf Classic category with 5 Stakes points. Today will be the Saucy Girl’s first attempt at Stakes Company and she should have an easy time taking 3rd. She is a very consistent 80’s SP # runner, but I think the mile to 8 ½ furlong distance is more to her liking. She has fallen off in her last two races, finishing up with a 7th and 8th place finish. I am thinking the Computer stable is looking to grab an easy 3rd and give her some confidence before dropping her back down into allowance company where she has had success in the past. Easy 3rd.
