His best runs have been on the lead or close to it, and that doesn’t bode too well here.  There is a ton of speed in this and that may lead to exhaustion in the stretch.  However, his last out shows he’s in fine shape and he may hang tough if others falter.

Speaking of speed this 4yo scratch bred by Seeking the Gold has plenty of it.  A winner of his last condition in a blazing 105SP at CA; he lead gate to wire and had something left.  He can also string wins together, although this is a small step up.  He should get a clean break with a decent jock, and may be hard to overhaul.

Posting a huge 113SP in last and missing out on a win says this old timer is ready.  This will be this 6yo’s 44^th start and he still has fire in his heart.   Raced from the 18^th hole in last at Delaware and had to push for position.  He won’t have the traffic to contend with here and is versatile enough to stalk if many go for the lead here.  Co-favorite and should be.

Surprisingly has never won a stakes event.  This is another 6yo that has been around for 40+ starts.  This may be his opportunity to crack into the stakes league.  He’s a one run type that will have a lot of speed to run at in this.  His previous misfortunes at this level are the question here.  He needs to finish the job.
