Song of the Hawk stumbled at the start, but a heady D. Givins relaxed his mount to settle in at the back of the pack. Once settled, jock moved him on the turn for home; caught leaders at the 1/8th pole and was ridden out for the win. Silver Designer broke sharply from the outside, and outran The Blue Sword to hold on for 2nd. The Blue Sword patiently stalked the early leaders to briefly take the lead at the 1/8th pole but ran out of gas. Wheels of Steel briefly held the lead mid stretch but flattened out. Miss Roberts ran evenly, but could not challenge. AZ A Commander broke sluggishly and was never a threat. Katherine broke sharply, retained lead to the turn for home and tired. Iron Bangle showed little. A Case in Point was finished early.
