1 | JENNAHS AP.RINCESS | 7/2 | 4yo scratch bred filly by A.P. Indy that has tailed off somewhat in her last two starts. She had a nice run in the allowance ranks during the summer, but stumbled when asked to compete in stakes. After an 8 week break she is giving it another try. Improvement is expected, and will determine if this is the plan of action that should be taken. Her sire is one of the best, but she is questionable underneath.
2 | K’S NON NEGOTIABLE | 2/1 |
Out of a “G” rated mare, this filly is the best of the four progeny the mare has produced to date. She started her career on dirt and then found her place on grass. Trainer had her kicking butt in allowances most of the year and finally tried a stakes event in her last out. She ran a respectable third giving an even effort. She shows no great burst of speed or thrilling come from behind finishes; she’s just an honest horse. She gives all she has every out. Expect the same here.
3 | ADVANTAGE(KY) | 9/2 |
3yo filly out of an “F” rated mare. She ran her whole 2yo season on dirt before switching to turf in her 1st start as a 3yo. While on dirt she broke her maiden
4 | TIMEINHAND | 9/2 |
The grandma in this. 5yo scratch bred mare going into her 46th start. Claimed for $15,000 early in her 3yo season, present trainer has kept her in allowances for the rest of her starts. She has preformed well at the level and had the best race of her career last out. Not only was it her 1st stakes win, but also the 1st time she has broken the 100+ SP mark. Now here she is defying W&T trying to get her 2nd stakes win. She has a shot if she doesn’t bounce, because the field isn’t that tough.
5 | WITH ROYAL(KY) | 8/1 |
Still eligible for NW2L, this 3yo filly is the longest shot in the field. She is out of a “G” rated mare with one other progeny that is stakes placed on dirt. This filly appears to be maturing and should be ready to do some damage in 2008. As to how she’ll react here is yet unknown.
6 | LIVIN’ THE DREAM | 5/2 |
4yo scratch bred filly by Gone West. Breeding wise, she is the class of the field. With only 14 starts, she is nine times ITM. She has excellent speed and should dictate the pace in this. Her three stakes tries have not been at her best distance. This event should be her break through. There should be no excuses here, as the planets are lined up.
All told, this is really just a high class allowance race. Each horse in this event has a legitimate shot at winning. However, we have to believe it’s up to the #6 to win or lose.
