DelPenn Distaff
I chose to cover this race, because I was sure my filly, Sweet Sister Mercy, was going to run away with this and crush the field. Lo and behold, she made it into the BB Distafff, something most DelPenners know nothing about. Now I will rely on past BB Distaff winner , 3yo Champion filly Swift Kick, to bring home the glory for Black Label Stables and F’ARSE.

Knightmare brings his 3yo filly by Slew City Slew to the race coming off a life time best speed fig of 100 in a NW4X Alw race at 10f . Filly took the lead at the stretch and then did her best of impression of Delpenn leader Revelation climbing a flight of stairs. Knees buckled, gasped for air and called for help, ran a real tired 2nd. Maybe the cut back to 9f will help. I doubt it. Awful jockey won’t help.
2 99109 MOON’S WELL(IRE) snakebite W Sisco 21/1
Duane sends out this filly to be the rabbit for his other entry Stelly Eyed Cat. Two back she ran 2nd in the DelPenn Personal Ensign. How she did that I have no idea. She followed that up with an awful last place effort in an open Stakes race. But she is back in a Delpenn restricted Stakes, you never know what can happen. Zero chance of winning but can maybe run 13th. Jock has a glistening 1% win average.
3 125780 SUPER ALLIANCE(KY) 2tohold B Ironside 18/1
Super Alliance, the name conjures up so many adjectives that could/should be thrown around. 3yo graded winner and took the first two legs of the DelPenn Filly Triple Crown. Gets a good jock in the irons but will have to pick up the speed figs to run in this race. More Super bashing to come with rest of their entries.

After a brief bout of insanity Fats is back home at Delpenn and now a gun carrying member of F’ARSE. 4yo A.P. Indy filly tuned up for this with a jogging 9f ALW win with a 100sf. Hitting her stride and the distance is perfect. Contender.

My 5 million dollar auction purchase is going off as the 5/1 co favorite. Why? Never tried dirt, doesn’t really like going routes and has a jockey who has been awful his first year. Must be for the trainer.
6 75384 YOU THOUGHT WRONG super 19 Z Wylde 5/1
The other co favorite from Super. Ran a huge race 3 back G2 win and still hasn’t recovered. The D Wayne Lukas entering philosophy of Super has probably cooked this filly. Breeding shed won’t be to far behind. Picks up Z Wylde. We talked with him but she still has a chance.

The resident naming genius. Next time open a dictionary and take a blind stab at anything. Filly is 6 for 7 and has to wear a bag around her head because she’s so damn embarrassed of the name. Only loss came in the Delpenn Alabama where yours truly ran 1-2 and she finished 3rd. Followed that up with 9f Stakes win vs older and a nice 105sf.

The one and only Swift Kick still going strong at 5 will once again grace DelPenn with her greatness. Still reeling from her last DelPenn visit, she looks for revenge and to add to her list of accomplishments. Picks up #1 rated H Ross in the saddle. Has lost a few steps with age but nothing like our fearless leader.

Little history lesson, back in August at the DelPenn Spa meeting, Super was handed an ARSE beating so bad that it still lingers in their mouth. They vowed revenge. They always do. Then we beat them down again. And so on and so on. As you see from the plethora of entries they are taken this seriously. More classic examples of Super horses, keep digging and sooner or later you’ll find a nut. Not here though.

Ivan gets into the mix here with his 3yo filly. Hasn’t won at a route but the last 2 races closing at 8f seems to have him interested. Then again he just moved with his family to L.A. and took a large amount of rum with him from home. My guess, he’s hitting it hard and said what the hell. Where’s my bottle? What does that name mean. I’m too lazy to look it up. Hey DOC maybe if you wrote your names in Spanish they wouldn’t sound so lame?

Last and least. Just kidding, Duane is talking up this horse on the Delpenn board and rightfully so. With a fast pace, I like her chances to win. Closes from the clouds and on big race days nothing is more exciting. Jock is nothing to write home about. The horse must do it on her own. Can she?
