TALL ORDER

Out of an “H” rated mare, this 6yo mare certainly has a tall order in this.  Although it may appear that she has a new trainer in an auction buy two races back….she was merely transferred to the same corporation.  She is lightly raced, but with her age it seems highly unlikely she will improve to be able to compete in this effectively.  SP’s will have to improve to get a piece of the action.  Jock Silver will get the most out of her.

Former claimer who has a nice record since being taken over by new outfit.  This 3yo is scratch bred and sired by Lion Heart who throws mostly dirt progeny.  Filly is an exception to the rule.  She appears to like shorter and this being only her second stakes try leads one to believe that trainer may be asking too much.

No stranger to the winners circle, this 6yo has 21 W’s in 48 starts.  After taking a little time off, she has improved to the point where she’s back at the top of her game.  She can stalk or come from way back and that will be beneficial in this event.  Jock is a minus, but her condition may override that.  One would have to think she gets in the top two.

An exceptional 6yo mare that has been able to compete at this level on dirt or turf.  She is scratch bred to Red Ransom and is coming back to the green stuff after a very successful stint on dirt.  She has won from 6f to 16f and does well with a surface switch.  We can throw out her last at a graded level.  Probably a tune-up for this.   Not the greatest of jocks, but only has to sit and move on the turn for home.  A contender if she’s ready for the surface switch.

Trained by the infamous “Disco Jerry”, this 4yo scratch bred is turning out to be part of his obsession for turf routers. J  It appears this filly will be part of his stable for a long time to come.  She is displaying her breeding well with being able to handle distance with ease.  Her SP’s should improve with more experience.  This event may or may not be her coming out party, but will give her a taste for more.  She should be up front with the speed in this race and jock Ross will get the most of her present condition.  Contender.

Scratch bred 4yo that came into her own in last.  She finally broke into that special category of the 100+ SP.  She does her best racing on the front end/stalk, so it wouldn’t be any surprise to see her there in this.  Since her last was her fastest race to date, she may “bounce” some in this.  Jock Ironside will do his job as long as she does hers.

5yo scratch bred mare that has a slight case of “seconditis”.  She very seldom comes out of a race without a paycheck for her owner.  She’s very steady and reliable and one that any of us would like to own.  With two races after a 2 ½ month break she seems ready for this.  Last out was a tuner-up for this drop in class.   Cashing a top three check is in the picture.
