Well hello race fans welcome to a hot, humid florida downs as we prepare for todays feature race.  Lets get a rundown on the eight horses going six and a half furlongs today over the firm turf, the trainers have all been commenting on how lightning quick this turf is and one predicted a track record will fall today!!

1 60403 COLONEL SPOON irishfarms W Mayberry 7/1-the oddsmakers 1 must not

have been working 17-1 would be much more realistic odds on this horse

doesn’t really deserve a second look and at those odds not even a long first

look. Not in form and just not good enough.

2 20021 ARTFUL VICTORY scorpion V Gardner 2/1-co favorite HUGE closing

kick and runs well off of layoff, last bad run came when he was tired

has a grade 3 win at this distance tough to dismiss

3 73426 MR XYZ andycapper A Darling 5/2- solid stakes record has gotten it

done at this level and distance likes to stalk and move will have to get going

early and hope artful victory runs into traffic

4 72018 RAMMA RENDEZVOUS redpoppy L Gann 37/1-lightly raced colt doesn’t match up well speed wise but will be on the lead and may surprise not a bad horse to put third

in your trifecta wagering or some show money on just because of the price

5 30770 BARB’S SMILE kaleigh Y Fairington 24/1-if there was a upset to be pulled this

is the horse to do it not likely but I have seen stranger things happen

don’t totally dismiss this horse

6 90835 BARB’S GOLDEN TRIO(IRE) mattbarn M Jaeger 6/1- very interesting horse he may

force mr xyz to move earlier than he wants but if not he wont do better

than fourth with his current form

7 31334 CAT GOOFBALLS redpoppy W Baumann 80/1- did this horse take a wrong

turn out of the paddock and miss the claiming races?? this horse is gonna be close

in the gate and then dead last all six and a half furlongs

8 58597 CITICAT easygoer1 R Maire 2/1-co favorite but seems to be off of

his form of late, would have liked to see him get home against low level

allowance runners last time out but connections say that was a workout. They say this horse is primed for a huge run

predicted order of finish– 2-8-4
