Hi from sunny Ascot,home of the royal meeting.Here we are again ready to go again on the famous track and we take in race 10 from the meeting, the MRS COOMER Challenge stakes, for fillies and mares 3 yo +. Only a small field of seven take their chances over a mile on the lawn,and we have a sure fire short price favourite trying to make off with the winners share of the $90000 purse.Here are the runners and riders in racecard order.

1)BUSCH LEAGUE aframe27 500311

3 yo mare by Touch Gold out of a grade H mare.8 runs 4 wins and a third for career earnings of $127820.Won first 2 starts on dirt and looked a classy prospect but failed to make the natural progression until switched to the lawn last 2 starts of which she also won both.Nice type but her big problem in this race is she is up against the older `uns and her speed figures,even with improvement taken into account dont come near the favourite.she may run the race of her life and still fail to place.Nice type though and there should be more races to be won with her in time.The inexperienced T Shulthess is booked aboard this 8/1 chance.

2)SLEW OF REGALS daisymasha 220104

3 yo mare by Royal Anthem out of a grade G mare.15 runs 2 wins 5 seconds and 4 thirds for career earnings of $121781.Outsider and the formbook is the reason for it.Takes a big jump in class from claiming company lto,when she failed to stay 9.5 furlongs to stakes level today.This 8 furlongs looks about her correct trip,but that is the only positive i can muster.Speed figures say she cant come near this level and i have to agree.If this were a jumps race at least you can have the hope that everything else falls,but this is the flat so that aint going to happen.No chance on the book.P Perren rides this 14/1

3)GIANT LARK emax 300434

6 yo scratchbred Giant`s Causeway mare.32 runs 6 wins 6 seconds and 4 thirds for career earnings of $619200.Classy performer on her day but unfortunately for her looks to be getting rather long in the tooth nowadays.Multiple stakes placed and convincing winner of 2 grade 2`s but that was way back in her 3 yo days.Would be shooting for a place if she could the clock back,but i wouldnt put my cash on it.The bookies seem to have priced her up on her 3 yo form but i would be looking for a much bigger price.Cant be much longer before she heads for the breeding shed surely.Nice jockey booking in M Day and she goes off at 4/1.

4)SUPER SHARP gradetwo 446511

4 yo scratchbred Seeking the Gold mare.25 runs 6 wins 3 seconds and 4 thirds for career earnings of 225235.If this race was to be won on breeding this mare would win hands down,but unfortunately it needs a fast horse and im afraid I would have to pass this one up without a second glance.Yes she has won her last 2,both in allowance class but speed figures of 89 and 84 suggest she is going to be in her own private race with the 2 horse to avoid last place.Priced up early at 22/1 I would want bigger and even then I wouldnt back her.P Funk takes the ride.

5)ADRIANNA kf 233512

3 yo scratchbred mare by Kittens Joy.15 runs 5 wins 3 seconds and 2 thirds for career earnings of $151812..Nice type this and has shown late improvement to boot.She has been running mostly in stakes company of late,and despite not getting her pretty head in front has been aquiting herself well.For me its a shame trainer kf couldnt find a stakes for her own age.Good pace early,it looks to me that this should be her best trip.She has broken that magic 100 speed figure the last twice,including last time when she ran a pb 102 over 8.5 furlongs,just falling away over the last 1/2 a furlong.I wouldnt be surprised is she puts up another pb today and she is my pick to give the favourite most to do. G Brown rides and 9/2 is the price.

6)GONE RED ragman 663151

4 yo mare by Red Ransom based on a grade E horse.21 runs 10 wins 3 seconds and 4 thirds for career earnings of $213534.This one has everything going for it and I cannot see past her.Only out of the money 4 times in her life.this double stakes winner put up her best lifetime performance lto over the trip,always up in the van to win a valuable allowance with a mighty 110.Unlike most of others,who have to run past their pb`s to win this,she is afforded the luxury of running maybe 5 or 10 points below that performance and still being in with a big chance of taking the spoils.Add into the mix she has the best jockey (my favourite in the whole sim) and it looks an unbeatable pckage.P Harzheim rides and even money looks too big to me.

7)DEL PENN EMPIRE spiro2 221131

4 yo mare by Empire Maker out of a grade C mare.20 runs 4 wins 4 seconds and 5 thirds for career earnings of $88100.Full credit to spiro2,he has turned this maiden into a nice looking claim.Her past 3 runs has suggested the penny has begun to drop with this one,and a stakes placed run over 9 furlongs is sandwiched in speed figures.A career best 103 lto suggests she will be fighting with Adrianna to see which one gives the fav most to do.A most likable mare.A shame a more experienced jock wasnt available though,and that just tilts the balance in favour of Adrianna chasing the fav home.B Cokebottle will be thirsting to prove me wrong on this 9/2 shot

Easy one for the win,the runners up spot is proving harder to predict but my minds made up. 6 to beat 5
