750,000 ” Eddie O Cap ” Opens When The Turf Meets The Surf
This Saturday marks the first weekend of racing at the ” Summer Ocean Playground”
and will feature the Grade 1 Eddie O, with 3 year old’s and up traveling 9F on the turf
course. This strong field of fourteen has a stacked deck of eleven Graded Stakes winners of which five
are of the Grade 1 variety.
The 5 year old gelding Evil Seeking has been placed as the 6/1 favorite in this tightly matched
group. Although Evil Seeking has only won at the Grade 3 level his form this year fits nicely in
this race. The connections fairhaven 9 which is ran by sim trainer Lenny who has trained several
grade 1 winners over the years. Lenny will have his hands full in today’s race as the horse and trainer
list for the Eddie O’ is long and deep with talent. Let’s take a closer look at the horses and their
connections.
1. ARVA gioponti AUS (Savabeel X Encosta De Lago) SW and Graded placed
This mostly South Pacific and Eastern Asian performer has taken a couple of 100K stakes at todays
distance of 9F and at 9.5 furlongs. His best outing may have been the 2nd he ran in the Main Oak
GR2 Japan in the Fall. Finishing 2nd to Grade 1 winner Major Dansili. This will not be the first
time the large operation of CV Bear has sent ARVA to the United States. His other start in
California against Grade 2 competition resulted in a flat performance. It would be a big upset
if he was to win but always possibilities to score a check at 11-1.
2. Furious Yankee lastpharaoh (Giant’s Causeway X Pulpit) GR 2 stakes winner at
eight furlongs
This horse has been on a serious roll. Winner of 4 stakes races in a row and 9 of 10 races,
Furious Yankee is a star in the making. Having only ten races this four year old still has a lot of
developing to do. The question in today’s race is whether he will stretch it out to 9F with the same
result. This horse with connections to the large yankee operation has ticked every box and I look
for a big showing today.
3. Concejal pato13 (Sea The Stars X Danehill) Grade 1 placed
This horse from the large South American Pato operations first surfaced as a major player in the
middle distance turf runner when finishing 2nd in the Equinics at 41-1 in the late winter of 2018.
After a brief freshening he was then sent to the Grade 1 Woody Ford where he ran flatley and was
never in contention. After that effort he went into a NW3L where he won impressively. So we must
asked which horse will show up on Saturday. I’ll put a line through the Woody Ford G1 and say
that at 17-1 Concejal is of great value. Eleven races under his belt I believe his future to be very
bright.
4. Tadious tatty4 (Bernardini X Sadler’s Well) Grade 1 winner
Grade 1 winner of the Woody Ford has established himself as another in a group of real solid 4
year old turf middle distance runners. Winner of 6 races in a row of which two were GRade 2 wins
has solidly placed him as a real live horse in today’s race. Tadious comes from a large sim operation
better known as kevoman or coolk whose operation spreads far and wide with success at home
and abroad. The odds of 15-1 are also very fair in a race like this.
5. Flame Of Freedom super 30 (IRE Dubawi X Kinmambo) Grade 1 winner
What a versatile horse this guy has been. Flame Of Freedom has been a graded stakes winner at
two, three and four and is still ranked number #8 overall. This stable of super 30 is better known
as whirlwind and has many years of experience guiding thoroughbreds just like this guy to bigger
and better things. I believe Flame For Freedom is the real deal and it will take another very
special horse to take this horse down. The odds of 12-1 are pretty nice for #8th ranked horse.
6. Rhaegar’s Rage aryahound2 (Giant’s Causeway X Daiwa Major) grade 1 winner
This colt with over 5 million in earnings in 17 starts is really a 10F specialist trying a shorter distance
hoping that wires the race at the shorter 9F distance. Owned and trained by the sims version of
UAE SHEIK *Given, he always seems to have the golden touch. I will bet that he can’t
win a grade 1 at this shorter distance. Punters have sent him off at 10/1 which may have a little to do
with his connections known to bet their well meant horses with both hands.
7. Swanport River liam9 (Sebring X Dubai Millennium) grade 3 winner
This very quick son of Sebring loves to show the way in a race and has been very successful over his
years on the track. Today he’s going to try and do this against some of the world’s best middle
distance runners with much deeper resumes. If he’s left loose on the lead it is not impossible for a
magical trip. The connections of liam know how to pull of a shocker and have performed sim feat’s
nobody thought could be pulled off so don’t count them out. The odds of 10-1 tell me that just maybe
the connection and punters feel he could get loose.
8. Macho Falcon padrebri3 (Macho Uno Dubai Millennium) Graded placed
This 5 year old son of Mach Uno has been a solid allowance runner for most of his career with 8 wins
in 28 starts and over 300K in winnings. He recently snuck into a Gr1 field that only had 10 go
postward scoring a very respectable 3rd at 10 F. It’s hard to believe that he broke his maiden in a
MDN 45K claimer, and offered again at 150K claiming. I think the 14-1 odds are a little
lean in a field like this.
9. Staying Sharp boudin ( JP Stay Gold X Danehill) Grade 2 winner
This recently gelded son of Stay Gold has been very strong at today’s 9 F distance and it is a litte
unusual to geld a horse this late in his career, especially one that has been successful. His form does
seem a little in and out which may have something to do with his personality. I have heard at times
in the morning he was getting a little studdish on the track. This 5 yr old is in the capable hands of
canyongate (phillip) who is a very capable sim trainer. The odds set at 10-1 also seem to
point to a better track presentation in today’s race.
10. Ready Revolver escapade ( Dubawi X Im Deep Impact) Grade 2 winner
Another very good middle distance turf runner to add to the list. The question is with only one start
in 2018 can the horse turn his form around enough to take this stacked field to the woodshed ?
The connection of tisjuliet are very capable of getting a horse ready off of one prep. Look for signs
in the post parade. If he’s dancing don’t rule out. The odds of 10-1 are solid in a field like this which
means a little smart money may have been pushed through the windows.
11. Evil Seeking fairhaven (Bernardini X Dubai Millennium) Grade 3 winner
The race favorite at 6/1 odds is the son of Bernardini a little overrated? The only negative I can
find is he has run a long time with hardly any breaks. It would be possible for him to fall off but I’m
not one to gamble against a tough horse who’s done it time and time again. He might not win today
but it would be hard not to see him in the top three. How many bullets are left?
12. Major Dansili jbcri48 (Dansili X Daiwa Major) Grade 1 winner
Here’s a horse that should be on everyone’s ticket. Equinics champion who after a three month layoff
just missed by a 1/2 length in the Woody Ford G1. I really believe that he on his top form and he’s
going to be my pick. Odds are right on the money at 8/1 ….. Needs to move at the right time
to beat a super group like this.
13. Panama swany (Stravinsky X Dynaformer) Grade 3 winner
This grade 3 winner would really have to turn it up a notch to win a top Gr1 after struggling
against lower tear horses. If anyone could pull this off it would be these connection who are
controlled by Aussie Legend Davarto. Now if I’m wrong about the Aussie thing then I’ll go ahead
and say whoops right now… I’m 57 years young and the memory is a little limited. Odds of
8/1 say that I’m talking out my ***
14. Dynamic Dreamer myt4go2 (Oasis Dream X Street Cry) Grade 1 winner
Grade 1 winner at 3 yrs of age going 1 mile. He tried a few grade 2 against older which he gave
a good showing without a win. He took a 5 month break after a poor showing in a 100K stk.
Then returned with a solid outing in a Alw race at today’s distance. The extra year of maturity
and the nice prep may have set him up to hi-jack this bunch at 10-1 odds.

I wish I would have looked at the spelling and word usage a little better before hitting send. I was frustrated with the template because everytime I tried to scroll down to read my what I had produced , was deleting and moving stuff all around. I spent probably 1 hour trying to fix my mistakes… I was so frustrated that it looks like I forgot to run a good Spelling and grammar check. Writing is something that I have always struggled to perfect. I do these articles with the hope that I improve or at least maintain what skill I have developed. Again, please excuse my sloppy work.
Still can’t proofread worth a crap………
What gets me about the article is that no one said thanks for the time and article, Yeah, it was a little crazy and all over the place. I HAVE done the same thing, hit a button on word, and I have no idea how to get it back,
Better yet is, everything looks great when you send, and then comes out like a mess,
Hey, I got the point (and the frustrated time) associated with it. Thank you for the article.
BTW, don’t apologize to most of the runners anymore, they don’t even comment. Like you get paid 500 creds or whatever anymore. Internet , just like society life it seems.
No class.. Thanks, even though I didn’t have runner.
Or you’ll get the usual winner say, wow, you picked my horse. Or, I proved you wrong!
Why I don’t write anymore.
Want to disagree, fine
But a least say something.
Punks in the graded race scene, always. Not all.
Fuc# them, to good. Ok..haha
