1 PILLBOX – CRAFTY PROSPECTOR x BROAD BRUSH x EXPLODENT very good claim by the current stable. Likes an off track, which is good news here. Has a decent chance but s with many horses there is the can she cut it in a stakes race to consider.

2 SATAN’S WISH – E DUBAI x CRIMSON SATAN x SECRETARIAT Another good claim. One off track run was a win, which is good news. Seems on the upgrade as well. I have seen worse 20/1 shots than this horse. Worth a W/P/S bet.

3 SPARKY’S EMPIRE – EMPIRE MAKER x CLEVER TRICK x SADLER’S WELLS Good win on its last start. Off track would be a major concern given the prior start. Only one race at a mile plus which is was a win. The trip should suit and maybe horses to improve given more distance in time as well.

4 CORMINO’S BUST – COZZENE x CORMORANT x BUSTINO(GB) No off track form so that has to be taken on trust. My past experience of Cozzene’s is not good in this department. Has a chance on speed figures but given wins of late in soft races something should beat this filly.

5 GIANT GLORY – GIANT’S CAUSEWAY (IRE) x DANZIG x MR. PROSPECTOR looks like this filly was purchased for her breeding. Which is no bad thing. Has run well for the new owner. Mind this was in sprints form at 1m plus suspect. So for betting pass over. For the owner some of these Giant’s filly keep improving do not be in a rush to breed over if still earning bps.

6 CLASSY LADY – MONASHEE MOUNTAIN (IRE) x MARSHUA’S DANCER x MANILA No wins in 14 races at 1 mile plus. I think it sums up this mare’s chance.

7 CRY FOR VICTORY – STREET CRY (IRE) x DEHERE x FORTY NINER Filly who is lightly raced. Well bred as well. Only off track run a win and best race of her life by a long way. Maybe she is a mare on the upgrade. Has no runs at 1 mile plus and no stakes runs. One to watch and not back today.

8 PRIVATE MISSLE – EMPIRE MAKER x DANZIG x FORTY NINER No runs on an off track. Will stay and is well bred. Seems more of a 9f horse. Could easily win but overall may lack the speed at a mile. Could run on for a pace.

9 SUPERDADDY’S GIRL – SILVER CHARM x LOUIS QUATORZE x TOPSIDER On past form head and shoulders above these. Negative is off track race seems not to suit. Therefore past over, looks like a filly that could bounce back to the form she was in last backend soon though.

10 NUREY’S WOOD – WOODMAN x NUREYEV x MT. LIVERMORE Off track form is poor. For that reason alone not worth backing today. Very consistent tough horse though usually in this class. As with many Woodman’s does not seem to be holding its form so well at 5. Will make a nice broodmare.

11 OPTION ONE- ALPHABET SOUP x GULCH x DANEHILL The best option is to look elsewhere for a bet today. Nice win last time but this is a different kettle of fish to a F4yo+NW2L. Which by its nature is not likely to be a good race. Looks out classed.


Not the greatest field for Winterhearts race but very open. It may just pay to go across the board with Satan’s Wish at 20/1 given the off track conditions.
