A Little PRESTO Magic in Old Man Series!
The Old Man of the Mountains Series II – Race 6

We had a bit of magic in the sixth chapter of the OLD MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN Series II. Our winner PRESTO seemingly pulled a win out of the hat and easily stalked the leaders and pulled away in the stretch. Previous top finisher and controversial horse THE COW’S MOO finished well back in sixth place and our host T. LOCK just missed hitting the board again with a fourth place finish. NIJINSKY LOVE’S GOLF and PINEWOOD finished in the top three to keep their hopes alive in the series.
After finishing third and eighth in his previous two OMOTM outings, PRESTO looked as if he had found the Fountain of Youth in this race. He will now be ineligible in the series unless host T. LOCK can win again and change the restrictions. Actually, the restrictions may open up next race to non winners in 12 months as it has been that long since he hit the top spot on the board.
At the other end of the race, Sun Dial leader BELL COGNAC didn’t finish last for the second time in a row but did react in his usual “anchor-like” style with a 31 SPF and a next to last finish. The rear was brought up by newcomer DOOR SALLY who ran an amazing FIVE SPF! I’m telling you folks, it is worth your while to watch this race just to see how long it took her to cross the finish line. Check it out Watch This Race! She was so far behind that most of the patrons had left the track and found their cars by the time she finished. Perennial anchor THEIR FIGHT, the twelve year old Maiden finshed third to last and kept his hopes alive although he will have to find a way to finish behind COGNAC to do that. Perhaps he can take lessons from DOOR SALLY!
There are still four races left in the OLD MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN SERIES this time around. Lots of things can still happen, especially if the restrictions change either up or down. Almost anything can happen in this marathon series and usually does. It looks like that has already started to be the case. Stay tuned Race Fans!
