We are at Epsom on Saturday to take in The Joisy Stakes, a grade 3 seven furlongs sprint on the firm lawn for all 3yo`s. Thirteen line up to contest the $100000 pot. Lto always led, never headed won 1 1/4 lengths 7 furlongs ungraded stakes. Appeared to show improved form to win with a speed rating of 100. If he continues his improving form 13/1 may seem a little generous. 2) DOC HOLLIDAY(KY) buffy9 J Diggs 12/1 3 yo Minigun colt. 4 wins 1 second 3 thirds from 9 runs amassing $174370 in prizemoney. Winner of an ungraded stakes over 7.5 furlongs turf as a 2yo and been placed in stakes races in his last 3 runs. Lto led until outpaced final furlong going down by 5 3/4 lengths Grade 3, 8 furlongs turf Calafornia, running a personal best speed rating of 98. 3) LIGHT IN THE DARK(KY) ba A Edwards 12/1 3 yo Forestry colt. 6 wins 2 seconds and 2 thirds from 11 runs winning $190543 in prizemoney. Lto flopped in 6 furlongs grade 2 turf, his only unplaced run. Before that in fine form winning 4 ungraded stakes including 2 over this seven furlongs trip and finishing second in an ungraded stakes 6.5 furlong. Rated 25 in 3 yo turf sprinters. 4) HELLO I’M MR ED(AUS) grassman S Shady 62/1 3 yo Danzero colt. 2 wins fron six runs winning $31175 in prizemoney. Lto led early, faded finished fourth in a $41500 5.5 furlongs turf allowance nw3n. Looks like it may be a tough race for this one as he needs to find a bit of improvment to get placed. 5) R LOYAL MAN(KY) kbsweet J Plumber 5/1 3 yo Mr Greeley colt. Winner 3 times and second 3 times from 13 starts. Has shown improved form for switch from sand to turf, and is dropped back to sprinting after maybe just struggling a little to get home over 8 furlongs. Winner of $160075, this multi group placed colt has yet to get his head in front in a stakes race. He has a fine chance if repeating his run of 4 races back when finishing runner up in a 8 furlongs turf grade 3, beaten just a length and running a 105. 6) FRENZY(KY) super9 R Poulin 8/1 3 yo Forestry Colt. 5 wins and 2 seconds from 12 runs, winning $148250 in prizemoney.He has seemed to benefit from surface switch to turf,and has improved in his last 2 runs to win 2 ungraded stakes, one over 7 furlongs turf and the other over 7.5 furlongs turf, both times recording speed figures of over 100. Tougher task today, but he will seek to sit just off the pace and kick for home a couple out. 7) THE GOLD MONKEY(KY) lygerbomb J Henson 18/1 3 yo Forestry colt. 2 wins a second and a third from 7 runs winning $32850 in prizemoney. Trying turf for the first time today. Lto put up a lifetime best when leading until the final furlong, finishing second beaten a length in a 7.5 furlongs ungraded stakes good dirt and running a speed figure of 94. Perhaps best watched today. 8) SEA KING CYCLONE(TUR) ydracing3 R Harzheim 4/1 f 3 yo Strike the Gold colt. 6 wins 3 seconds and 3 thirds from 15 starts, winning over half a million dollars in prizemoney. Multi stakes winner (over 6 furlongs and 6.5 furlongs turf) and a grade 2 winner two runs back over 6 furlongs when he put up a lifetime performance to win by a length after coming from off the pace. He recorded a speed figure of 104 that day and then went on to win a 6 furlongs turf ungraded stakes lto. Up to 7 furlongs today, will he be as effective? Ranked 4th best 3yo Turf sprinter. 9) WAYNE’S DEAD BODY(KY) super1 C Crawford 8/1 3 yo Kingmambo colt. 4 wins and 2 seconds from 4 10 runs winning $147065 in prizemoney. Winner of 3 of his last 4 runs including 2 ungraded stakes, one over 6.5 furlongs turf and the other over 7 furlongs turf. No worries about trip. Ranked in the top 100 3 yo sprinters turf. May have to run a lifetime best to figure here. 10) SECRET CYCLONE(KY) ydrbargain C Jericho 14/1 3 yo Aljabr colt. 17 runs 3 wins 4 seconds and 3 thirds winning $131220 in prizemoney. Lto won a 7 furlongs turf allowance $46200 nw3x. He recorded a 89 that day and that along with all known form leaves him a lot to find with the market leaders. 11) 136194 LEFT TO GO(KY) seedly F Sharlow 18/1 3 yo Lemen Drop kid colt. 2 wins and a second from 6 runs winning $16225 in prizemoney. Has only ran on turf once before, when flopping in a 5 furlong turf allowance finishing fourth four lengths off the winner. Even on his best dirt form he would be hard to reccomend although it should also be noted he is open to lots of improvement. 12) LEGENDARY LEMON(KY) hardnfast T Nugent 3 yo Lemon Drop Kid colt. 7 wins 2 seconds and 2 thirds from 12 runs winning $340760 in prizemoney. Multiple stakes winner as a 2 yo and as a 3 yo. His best run came 3 runs back when winning a 8 furlongs grade 3 stakes with a lifetime best of 101, just getting up on the line to win by a head. Lto finished second over 6 furlongs turf in an ungraded stakes going under by 1 1/4 lengths. This extra furlong today should be right up his street.
