Recap

3gs’s Auction Baby scored her second stakes victory and third in six lifetime starts, winning Upper New York’s featured race on Saturday. The RC Indy Go filly sat just off the pace of Sighdropper, took the lead in the stretch, and had enough left over to hold off the late charge of Mixed Signals, who rallied from fourth to get the place money. Sighdropper stayed on well to finish third, 2 ½ lengths behind the winner. Favored Safe Return ran evenly most of the way but never mounted a serious challenge and finished fourth. Moon Brisson faded to fifth after being close to the pace early. Trickrtreat trailed throughout.
