Megalopolis August 2017 Update

As we head into Crabcake Zillions/Mountain State Classics IV, the championship day for mid-Atlantic breds in the sim, I wanted to note that the allowance prep races for those stakes contests are now carded for September 24th (my birthday).  As usual, I tried to card them all in Massachusetts but wound up putting one in Maryland by mistake.  Anyhow, you should have a spot to get your runners ready for the big day, which is scheduled for October 21st.  Locations and races consist of:

In other news, back on August 12th, Megalopolis sponsored local-bred 2yo stakes in New Jersey.  Congratulations to winners SUGARY SWEET (Stripling for gowans stable), SUNSTRIKES (Ivy League for mrenforcer stable), and FIRE ROLLER (Dune Grass for kb1216 stable).  Hey winning trainers, why not throw a stable of support to Megalopolis?  That’s how these races get carded.

Speaking of being residency members, note that there is a remaining stakes race restricted to master stables with at least one stable supporting Megalopolis.  That race is the DC International Invitational, twelve furlongs on turf, on November 4th.  The entrants do not have to be local bred, but you will need the password (I will send by private message closer to the event).

Finally, the race schedule also includes the December 30th Megalopolis Juvenile championship, with races for 2yos on dirt at a mile for both open company and fillies.  I will be buying these and all other races mentioned above in the near future.
