Time To Pull The Strings

(SP)Wyoming- Up this week is a seven furlong jaunt on the grass for sophomore ladies. The main event will enjoy good spring weather which should make for a pleasant time for all. This will be the third running of the Wyoming version of the $55,000 King Puppet Memorial and seven young ladies have entered. So let us take a look at who will be suited and booted.

What What Ok entered by jdawg05. This young lady from Kentucky comes in as the early favorite. She has some nice speeds on the dirt, but nothing that catches the eye. This will be the first time on the grass and it makes you wonder how she rates the favorite title. Drawing a jockey that is performing poorly this year is not going to help matters.

Seven Six entered by taboo1. This young Kentucky lady comes in with a lot of experience in stakes racing with one stakes win. She achieved that as a freshman, but has not progress as well as the trainer had hoped so far this year. They are hoping this will be the breakout race and having the wily veteran in Vince Gannon in the irons could help her meet this desire.

A Fleet Cat entered by belstfarms. Our third lady from Kentucky also comes in with an early favorite tag. She has put up the numbers to get this honor, but she is hampered with consistency problems. She will pop a nice race and them throw out a couple of sub par effort. She had her great race last out and the trainer is hoping with the added mix of hot jockey in John Dawg in the irons will help get another good effort.

Dynamite Gigabyte(FR) entered by lawdro. Making her debut at stakes level is this petite French sophomore filly. All the wins for this pace setter have come on the grass where she is more comfortable. She has been putting up respectable speeds, but has yet to make it to the next level of racing. This could be her breakout race, or not.

Swainish Hell(IRE) entered by derbyking9. This Irish lass comes in pretty consistent in speeds, but not in the results she is looking for. That may be because she is all over the map in distances run, but may be right where she likes it. This distance is where she produced her best effort to date, which was a stakes win also. Coming back to it could be to her advantage.

Fax At Dawn entered by paydirt41. Our final Kentucky filly comes in with the most experience. She has held her own in two G3 class races almost winning last time out. She is primed to take this race and has drawn the top jockey in Jessie Sands. The pairing can only be a benefit for the both and 2-1 odds seem to bear that out.

Mean Charlene entered by cjjonesz. In the last spot on the roster is this brash young lady from Texas. She had a difficult time last out in G3 company and is looking forward to returning to regular stakes racing. She has won a maiden, an allowance and a claiming race. All she needs now is to add a stakes win to fill out her resume. Although drawing Cathy Campbell in the irons may work against her as jockey is also struggling this year.
