Welcome to Tennessee for the now annual running of the Bargain Oaks, for 3 Year Old fillies who have been bred from scratch and cost less than 100 bp’s. A big thanks to Morgan for running these excellent series every year. Now lets take a look at the runners-

GENUINE ROYAL(JPN) (GENUINE (JPN) x ROYAL EGYPTIAN x SHOW’EM SLEW) pastmaster
Has won a maiden and a claimer and has a best recent sp of 75 but that was as a 2 Year old and she’s only run a 69 this year. That’s well short of what it takes to win this and she’ll be battling for the wooden spoon.

JACOBITE BANZAI(FR) (YOKOHAMA x CANYON CREEK(IRE) x KRIS(GB)) alexanderj
Only one win and that was over 6f as a 2 Year old. Best sp of 72 but at least she’s run that this year and she should get the trip (sire Yokohama is by Theatrical. Still doesn’t look good enough and will be nearer last than first.

AVATAR STORM(PA) (CERTAIN STORM x AGNES WORLD x AVATAR) ohtogo
Has only won a Maiden Claimer but has at least run three races with more than a 70 sp this year. Only problem is that she doesn’t seem top stay the trip. Looked better at around 6-7f and could struggle for the trip.

RHAPSODES(IL) (QUAKER RIDGE x FLY SO FREE x VICTORIOUS) misskitten
Has won three from nine, including a 2 year old stakes race in the bargain series last year. Has several 80+sp’s this year and was noted staying on strongly over 7f latest in an allowance race. Should get the trip no problem and expect to see a mid 90’s sp at least . Looks a big threat and should get at least a top four finish.

JACOBITE COPPER(IRE) (VETTORI(IRE) x IRON x WASSL TOUCH) saltire3
Has only won one and only one sp over 80 but that was this year when she only just failed to last home in an allowance over 9f. The last run can be ignored as it was on turf, and should be able to run at least to mid field here. Could even be an outside chance of a top five.

ADRIFT(IRE) (INTIKHAB (IRE) x SULTRY SONG x CANDY BEAU) sinner
What to say about this one- this is her first run. She’s by a son of Red Ransom and has plenty of good blood in the pedigree. Could be anything.

JACOBITE DANE(FL) (INDY KING x IRISH ROYAL (IRE) x DOYOUN(IRE)) natalyaeve
Second favourite and rightly so. Has only won two but has two sp’s this year over 90 and has won an allowance and placed in a stakes at this trip. Expect a high 90 sp and a top three place from this daughter of Indy King (by A.P. Indy).

GOLD CRUISE(FL) (WEEKEND CRUISE x SEA SALUTE x GOLD LEGEND) foxmax
Has won one from eight but has struggled this year at a mile plus. Has been leading early and looks ready for a drop in trip right back to 5 or 6f. Will struggle to stay the trip today.

JACOBITE DIEGO(IRE) (ELNADIM x EL CONDOR PASA x WAR DEPUTY) 1917sox
The last of the four Jacobite runners today and she’s won one from twelve. Has been running on turf but does have a reasonable run over 6f last year when closing at the end and this could be her trip on dirt. Still some improvement required to feature here though.

RUNDO(KY) (WANDO x SORT x HERMITAGE) runvus1
Has won one from six but has put up some decent sp’s (in the context of the other runners here) but is another who has not been finishing her races and looks like a 5-6f sprinter. May still sneak a top five though.

LEAGUE CHAMP(P.R.) (EL MAESTRO x A CHANGE FOR APRIL x FESTIN(ARG)) pazone
Winless so far and with a best sp of 65 in a Maiden Claimer, she is going to struggle here and will be fighting to avoid the dreaded last place.

MODEL H(GB) (MOULIN(GB) x SINJAR (FR) x COSSACK WARRIOR (AUS)) larsonisk
The favourite and rightly so with eight wins from twelve races. Won a stakes over todays trip latest with a 96 sp and that says it all. Will probably have to fall asleep in the stalls not to win and looks another entrant in the Bargain hall of fame waiting to happen. Should be competative at any level this year.

WARIUZ GAME(ENG) (MUJAHID x GAME COIN x LITTLE CURRENT) wariuz
Has won two races and one of those this year but ha struggled badly in her recent races. If back to her best could easily get a top five but if not she could struggle again.

In conclusion there looks to be only one winner MODEL H(GB).
