welcome race fans to Hong Kong for the running of the King Kong Vase  with lots of excitement and give away a very good program line up for the day and a purse of $750,000 up for grab 14 horses to go down to the gate for this 12 furlong race and they all looking well.  now lets take a quick look at the runners.

Boo Andy Reid  A well breed 4yo colt who ran some very good speed figure and still yet to win a grade one race after winning the G2 Grand Prix by 2L. was well outpace in the King Geoff and Queen Beth’s Emerald Stakes he was eating up the rear and was 10th by 19 3/4L at the 3 furlong pole to run on and finish 4th by 10L,  his last run was in Australia when he ran in the Coffeefield Cup where he was just 7 1/2L to 7 3/4L off the pace but look to be one pace down the stretch and finish 4th by 7 3/4L. Trainer Redhill need to go back to the drawing board to figure out this horse and find the right track for him. he is a very good looking one and is on the top of his game if not too far this time you could see him earning some money here.

King Of The Down Under  As not shown that he is really ready to rule anywhere as yet. his best G1 race is when he ran in the Europe Classic and finish second by 2 1/2L he was 12 1/2L in 3th position at the 3 and close all of 10L to finish second by 2 1/2L if he can repeat that run and top the 116 speed figure could upset more fancy rivals.

Unload  Was on a four month layoff and run a blinder when sets off in front and run a bit of a briddle. consider that he was just  gelded and ran a very big race is now better from that run is fit and razor sharp and is coming to run let see who will stand in his way. he loves to be out in front and if taken in hand by the Jockey very early you could him wire the field this time around. and unload a lot of grass on them.

Singin’N’Dancin  Dancing his way to the winners circle last time out when winning the Flying Carpet Handicap by 2 3/4L in a 11 horse field. promoted twice to G1 race and never take his dancing shoe with him and was never a factor in both. breed by DANEHILL DANCER x MORE THAN READY x UNBRIDLED’S SONG and won 5 out of 14 starts has the class to do it but is out of luck so far can get the distant should not be a problem and could see him fighting it out.

Rockin’ Invader  Beaten twice in Japan he is out of the Aaihr stable and bred by the dam INVADING HAMMER not the way you would like to see your horse ran as not seen the winner circle in 10 months he has won 4 out of 21 stars and need a lot to top these so cannot get my vote here.

Work’s Overated Nice looking horse who look to peak at the right time is looking for a five timer here is Owned by the Marineboy stable is in for a shot here. out of WORKFORCE (GB) x DANEHILL DANCER x LUNCHTIME (GB) and over $200.000 in earning. won the Race Series for ASR11 with speed of 119 to win by a 1 3/4L he as been well prep for this race and will not go down easily.

Montana’s Rocket  Beaten in the Expensive Jalopy but came back to run a very good race in the Best Of Rome to finish second by 2 3/4L She is a nice looking Filly out SEA THE STARS (IRE) x MONTJEU x DYNAFORMER loves the Turf and will give a good account of herself here, Owned by the Montanarox stable and has 4 wins out of 9 starts and will be looking to earn some money.

Pinch Some Ideas  Make a promising run last time out when ran in the Millwood Cup and finish 3 by 9 1/2L. was a run away winner in the Australian Conglomerate Derby by 7L will have to run a bit better to top these but is on the improvement and should run a good race. he is well fit and sound and trainer Manoroflad have no doubt that he will win here.

Briones Owned by the 77 stable run some useful races early in his career but lost his way some where along the line. was second last year in the Japanese Saint Legend but he has never shown any improvement until his last run in the Royal Oaks, he has the ability to do better and now rounding up into form could surprise many here.

Mr Bigli this horse know how to make money is 7 from 14 starts and thats a good sign for his trainer won the stockholm international in good style and make up a lot of grounds into the Stretch and won by 2 1/2L. came back to win the Vince Clever Memorial Handicap cup by a easy 3L victory and at 7/1 thats a good price trainer Sime11investors.

Seeking The Impact   The 9/2 favorite lost 5 races before winning his last race in the G2 Cities Cup by 2 1/4L with speed of 115 and before that a 120 in the September Matt Turf challenge looking good in the G2 but i think he need to find more although with a big Jockey in the saddle he will have to work very to win this.

Work The Dragon The million dollars horse and the one they all have to beat looking for a 4 timer and improving all the time will not go down easily, won the Breeder’s bowl F and M Turf by 1 1/2L after sitting up with the pace and when ask to run she just went about her business with speed of 115 look to win this race already on paper but anything can happen in a race like this and trainer Fairhaven cant let his guard down

My Tour Of Duty  Have some good run but seem to find it hard to get a G1 win nice looking horse who was second in the Owner’s Stakes and the Japanese saint Legend can get the distant well and if come to run will not find it too difficult for a minor share of the purse out of the Highlanders stable only have 3 win from 18 starts lets see what he can do here.
