Today we travel to the Kyoto Racecourse in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto (Japan) for a great days racing featuring the G2 The Angry Dragon over a distance of 12F (2400 Meters) on turf. We have an international field of 5 quality horses trained to the minute by some of our best trainers, competing for $375,000 in prize money and trophies. We have fine conditions and a huge crowd is in attendance and they eager to have a bet, lets have a look at the runners and see if we can find the winner.

My No 3 Selection: Another well-bred Allowance winning 4 year old light grey colt by champion sire Unbridled’s Song who is as yet untested on this track and at this distance, has had only one start on turf for an impressive win but up in class and distance. To be ridden by P Jones from gate 2. Well performed colt with a bit to prove but this race is not hard, will throw him in for a place. ODDS 3/1

My No 2 Selection: This great looking Graded placed, Stakes winning 4 year old bay colt by world champion sire Galileo out of the G1 winning HOF mare You See La has been placed on this track but yet to go past 10.5F. K Ledwith rides this colt and will jump from gate 3. Another runner who has some distance concerns but did run home strongly last start in fast time, must be a strong winning chance in a weak G2 race. ODDS 6/5

This well made Stakes winning 5 year old bay horse by sire capable sire Flying Spur is yet to be tested on this track but one of the few in this race that has won over 12F which must help his chances here. J Wilson rides this horse and will jump from gate 4. Has been a bit disappointing of late but the distance might get him back on track, I imagine connections are hoping so. ODDS 5/2

This Allowance winning 5 year old light grey horse by little known sire Intense Focus races OK on this track, will handle the trip but the huge class rise is a big problem. B Van Houten takes the mount and will jump from gate 5. Has done most of his racing in claiming events, the distance is the only thing in his favor.   ODDS 131/1
