MNTB AUCTION SERIES FINALE
With perfect weather forcast, for Saturday’s Minnesota-Testbarn Residency’s AUCTION SERIES finale. The Place where the “Turf Meets the Surf”(Old DelMar), is the place to be and looking pretty inviting for a fun-filled afternoon of racing, Saturday.

The “AUCTION SERIES”, was developed, as a way to raise “Sim” cash, for the Residency’s “Prize” breeding program. The contest horses were all bred using breeding cards and named OOOI-OOOXX and thrown into the auction. The “SERIES”, comprised of 4 races(2dirt+2turf), at distances from 5f-7.5f. Has been dominated by just a few horses, regardless of surface and distance. So it will be interesting to see if anything changes, in this final race.

The final race is to be contested at 7.5f on the turf, with  only 5 of the original 20 eligible runners set to face the starter, only time will tell, who gets the prize. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

In RL SEEK SMARTLY only managed 2 wins in 12 starts and earnings a little over $97,000. In the “Sim”, the son of SEEKING THE GOLD  has only managed to produce winners at a rate of 38.5%

earnings: $4,874

In RL her sire HARBOUR WATCH was a perfect 3 for 3. In the “Sim”, the son of ACCLAMATION has progeny winning at a credible 61.4% clip, w/ 2% stakes winners. The extra .5f should help here.

*The end goal for all the contestants was a overall PRIZE POOL  of 1500 GAME CREDITS, (scoring in each race was 5,4,3,2,1). The prize divided as follows:
750 GC’s to first
500 GC’s to second
250 GC’s to third

**In addition to the original prize, I will also be giving a unraced 2yo LOCAL BRED to the first 5
finishers in this last race.

So with nothing guaranteed, it will be interesting to see if OOOVIII TB can go undefeated or if OOOXI TB can steal the main prize and top honors?
