“End” Reigns in Blue Labelle
End of the Reign, a homebred from the barn of theprofit2, scored her first career stakes victory with a wire-to-wire score in Saturday’s Blue Labelle Special. The four year old daughter of War Emblem took the lead right out of the gate from her outside post position and never looked back. She was never headed and the margin of victory was a comfortable three lengths. Favored Happy Ending lingered at the back of the pack for the early part of the race. She made a late rally in the stretch, making up five lengths to pick up the place money, but was no threat to the winner. El Dorado Miss stalked the early pace set by the winner, but tired badly in the final furlongs to finish third, eleven lengths back. CPU entry Nearly Wow showed some early speed but was already well beaten by the halfway point and was eased in the stretch.
