Grade II Dollplayer Price Stakes

Under clear blue skies, the crowds packed the Berlin Hippodrome on Saturday to see a disappointing field of six fillies and mares took to the post for the featured event, the $250,000 Grade II Dollplayer Price Stakes.  A disappointing field of six fillies and mares lined up for this race…….

As the gates opened Mintiano and Earth Angel disputed the lead, with Lone Gunman just behind in third.  Going Long Again  and Raw Courage were in fourth and fifth with the favorite Dreaming of Love well back in sixth……  As the field moved down the back stretch the positions remained unchanged.  Jockey T. Small on the favorite, was looking comfortable.  With about two furlongs to go Dreaming of Love started to pick her way through the small field.  Mintano was still in front but SNOWCHIEF’s fine looking horse was flying……    Dreaming of Love stormed to the front with Mintiano dropping back.  Going Long Again was running on at the end and took third just over a length in front of the slightly disappointing Lone Gunman.  Earth Angel finished fifth.  Raw Courage was never a factor and came in a long long way behind.
