We are in beautiful Ireland for the MORE GLARE GRADE II STAKES and we have some wonderful young fillies entered. It is always tough knowing how these juveniles will react this early in their careers but that is what makes it exciting. We have a couple of ladies that are ready to make a statement so let’s take a look:

(ORATORY x THUNDER GULCH x BOLD EXECUTIVE) Has hit the board three times in six races but struggled in the Stakes arena although she did win one three back but with a 61 SPF. She has never run faster than a 67 SPF and that was five back. Trainer PogDig1 knows he has his hands full here but she likes it near the lead so the inside post may help jockey Rice bring her home.

(ROCK OF GIBRALTAR (IRE) x DEPUTY MINISTER x MR. PROSPECTOR) Two in a row and seems to like this distance. This will be her first Stakes outing but trainer Theatrical feels as if she is ready for the big time. Jockey Kirkpatrick has done well at the course this year and should help guide her along. She has two near 80 SPFs in a row and could challenge here.

(NORTH LIGHT (IRE) x AWESOME AGAIN x SEEKING THE GOLD) This chestnut filly in undefeated in two races and ran a sizzling 89 SPF in the SmackDown II race with a wire to wire win. Trainer Lenny3 has an amazing 35% win percentage and knows what this girl likes. He has Jones in the irons and this trio could be very formidable during this race. Should hit the board and a win is probable.

(THUNDER GULCH x DANEHILL x BLUE ENSIGN) The filly with the amusing name. What the heck is a volcanobone? Trainer KSparrow is probably more worried about why this beautiful filly is getting no respect from the morning line. She has won all four of her races including three Stakes, one of which was the Grade III that she won last time out with a very respectable 79 SPF. She has Kentucky in the saddle who has been hot at the track all year. Personally, I think this could be a really tough combination to beat if she can get out front and hold the lead like she likes to.

(PINE BLUFF x MACHIAVELLIAN x UNFUWAIN) Her only blemish is a second in the GIII Fast Lane Stakes won by VOLCANOBONE who is also in this race. Trainer BranRG has a nearly 30% win percentage and sure knows how to saddle them up. Doyle will certainly lend an ear to this trainer and follow through on the track. 12/1 looks pretty inviting for a Tri-Box.

(KINGMAMBO x SEATTLE SLEW x ALYDAR) Since moving to the grass two back, this filly out of Gordie’s Seattle has won them both. She is another front runner which could crowd the early lead in this race. Trainer Super7 is another with a 30 plus win percentage so something has to give here. She looks to be coming along nicely so it is anyone’s guess where she will finish here but I’m betting it is near the front end of things.

(BUBBLE GUM FELLOW (JPN) x DANEHILL DANCER (IRE) x TAI) This bubble gum loving filly just missed winning her maiden entry in a Stakes race last time out in a small field. She seems to like the shorter races and this is a little bit longer for her. Trainer EZMoney feels that she can handle the extra yardage. Another problem is that jockey Michael is still looking for his first win this year after 69 tries. That doesn’t bode well for this filly.

(A.P. INDY x FUSAICHI PEGASUS x STORM CAT) This will already be the fourth Graded Stakes for this filly out of Radar Love and she won a GIII. She is certainly used to the tough comptetion and Trainer Australia has Reed holding the reins and he is known for guiding these youngsters. She needs to bump up her speed just a bit but might really like the extra distance here. Certainly one to watch in this race.

(SELKIRK x CHESTER HOUSE x FORTY NINER) Broodmare SINALUNGA’s offspring has been really consistent and is trying to stretch it out just a bit this race. She’s been running low 70 SPFs at six furlongs and with respectable finishes in Graded Stakes. Trainer Corza knows that she will have to up that mark a bit here to contend with this field but it looks like she may be able to do that. She likes to come from the back so the outside half of the field shouldn’t bother her.

(INVINCIBLE SPIRIT (IRE) x DOLPHIN STREET(FR) x SHIRLEY HEIGHTS(GB)) Two races back this big filly broke her maiden with a sizzling 84 SPF but fell back in her first Stakes outing last time on the track. Hoyo is stretching it out a little further with his filly in this race to see if she can take the extra distance. Barnes is quite capable in the irons and would like to put up another 80 plus figure.

(GIANT’S CAUSEWAY (IRE) x DANZIG x TRI JET) Well bred and looking fine, this filly is on a two race win streak but is trying her first Stakes outing. Super17 knows how to handle these young superstars and has Collins holding the reins which will help the youngster along. This filly is due for a big breakout race and this could be the place although I would like to see her get at least one Stakes under her saddle blanket before hitting the Graded trail.

(UNBRIDLED’S SONG x SADLER’S WELLS x MILL REEF) This cream colored daughter of BRABATA hopes to win as many as Mom did someday. She looks like she is actually well on the way to surpassing Mom’s 14 wins with four of her own in her first five races. Three of those were Stakes races with two wins and second but none were over five and a half furlongs. Trainer Brabant thinks she can handle the extra distance easily as she has been pulling away at the end of her races. She could surprise a lot of folks here.

(SILVER GHOST x A.P. INDY x RAISE A NATIVE) Trainer KeyToMint and this filly are trying hard to figure out whether she likes the dirt or grass better but it looks as if it doesn’t really matter as she has looked good on both surfaces. I’m a little surprised that she has moved back to sprints after winning at a mile in her previous race with a nice 81 SPF. It’s a long way to the rail from the outside post as she likes to lead but she should be okay there. She should challenge for the win here.

A fairly even race with some really nice looking fillies, I like DEROCKERY to finish fifth. I think that BRABASONG will just miss the board in fourth place but could surprise and finish much higher. In a bit of an upset, I like VOLCANOBONE to beat out SILVER SLEEPER for second place but she won’t be able to get past LIGHTSEEKER who will have enough to win. She’s on her game and I don’t see anyone beating her.
