The DOUBLE BLUSH Bonanza

Six fillies take on fav FEUERBEFEHL at beautiful Delaware Park this Saturday.
Trainer sarava spoke with me on the backstretch today and said his filly was in very sharp form.
He said he would use the winning purse money to buy a new Fender bass guitar and ultra
amp system that he has been eyeballing for some time now.
Let’s take a look at the field and see if that’s in his future.

This filly will hold the key to this event.  If she goes out with no one challenging, she will be tough to beat.  However, she has a habit of coming back to the field.  With the closers in this race, that would be an unforgivable error.  Top jock Ross may hold her together.

As stated in the introduction, trainer really wants that Fender bass.  This filly has the speed and stamina to stay close with pressure and a nice closing kick.  Also, the trainer’s twin brother is in the irons and gets 20% of the winnings.  That’s a tough combo to beat.  However, there are some others in here with a solid chance.

At first glance, this filly looks way overmatched.  This will be her first try on dirt and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a vast improvement.  Street Cry has done well in the sim on dirt, and this gal may very well improve greatly.

Nice Grand Slam filly here.
MSW win was pretty impressive.  As with other 1st time out winners, she will either run like she has a flat tire, or go on to bigger and better.  Not really enough info to elaborate.

Two nice wins for this gal, but don’t think she has what it takes to win this.  Seemed to have tailed off a bit in her last in a so-so 5 horse field.  True, the track was listed as “good”, but she only passed a couple of tired horses.

Here’s a lady that will need her best out of the gate.  So far she has only shown early speed and that speed will not cut it here.  She will have to improve a lot to make a race of it.

Trainer has a powerful stable and knows how to spot his/her horses.  Throw out last on turf.  Former progeny out of her dam have raced with the best.  I look for her to be flying in the stretch.  Look for jockey Wimpy to make a move on the turn for home.
