Baby’s First Stakes Grade III

1. 112712 UEA DERBY reasonable 10/1. A 2yo filly by Proud Citizen, she also has 1 win from 2 career races. She first ran in a 5f race finishing 5th with a 62 SP. Then lto she ran in a 6f race breaking her maiden with a 71 SP. Closing from the middle of the pack. Has the 3rd highest Sp in the race but is the longest shot, could possible do some damage.

2. 113965 LEMON DEHERE bigred77 6/1. A 2yo filly by Dehere, she also has 1 win from 1 career race. She broker her maiden in front running fashion going wire to wire to win with a 65SP. Should improve 2nd time out and has a nice dirt pedigree; I think she can make the top 4 possibly.

3. 112319 STORMY HALOS onemore 7/1. A 2yo filly by Southern Halo, she is the only maiden in this field. She has 2 career races with two 2nd place finishes, both on turf. Her Dam was a dirt horse so maybe she can do well on the switch to it.

4. 112964 WOLF HOUSE graywolf2 9/1. A 2yo filly by Hold That Tiger has 1 win from 2 starts. She has an older half sister that is a stakes winner in long distance dirt routes and this filly looks like she’d appreciate more ground as well closing from behind in both her starts. There seems to be a decent amount of pace in here, so she could be closing to collect a check.

5. 43630 RAINSONG socko 7/2. A 2yo filly by Unbridled’s Song with 1 win from 1 start. She was bred from a B ranked mare that raced 76 times and finished in the money 32 with over $1 million earned. He was a dirt router and she won her sprint debut and could get much better as the distance get longer. She won her race easily by 1 ¾ lengths and with a 68SP. Should improve 2nd time out I think so she’ll be there at the end, possible top 3.

6. 117573 PRETTY EYES sheik692 6/1. A 2yo filly by Touch Gold, she has 1 win from 2 starts. She has an older brother who is a stakes winner on turf; she however never has run on turf. She broke her maiden in a allowance race at 5.5f with a 75 SP, then raced in a 6f race lto and finished 2nd to last. Has the 2nd highest SP in the race but her race lto was bad, not sure here but you never know with these 2yo’s.

7. 115709 HOWDY CLOUD bird 6/1. A 2yo filly by Ministers Wild Cat, she has 1 win from 2 career starts. She’s the 3rd foal from this mare but the neither of the other has done much running. She ran her first career race at 5.5f finishing 4th with a 63SP. She then ran in a 6f race lto winning in wire to wire fashion with a 64 SP, it was on a wet track however. Her SP’s don’t look too good to do much here but you never know with these 2yo’s.

8. 117553 TAUNTA tenderfoot 2/1. A 2yo filly by Dance With Ravens with 1 win from 1 start. Has a great looking pedigree and is from a freshman sire. She’s the favorite in here and she has the highest SP in the race with a 78. She came closing from 12th to win her debut and there seems to be more speed than closures so that will help her. Should improve 2nd tome out and might be the winner or finish in the top 3.
