Deputy Hunter Captures Paris Feature
Deputy Hunter went from worst to first in the blink of an eye to capture the Frank’s Love. Barndog’s filly made it four stakes wins in a row and earned a big speed number (109) while notching her first graded win.
Given’s Whispering Sound had things all her own way from the flagfall. The whippet quick daughter of Miswaki had an open lengths lead until deep stretch when Deputy Hunter flew past about seventy yards from the wire. Given’s gallant filly held the place from C0-favored Tommy who chased Whispering Sound from third but never reached that one. CO-favorite Spicegirl raced evenly and had no apparent excuse.
Deputy Hunter dawdled in last place until entering the final bend. Jockey Clay clucked to his mount and she hit second gear. An eighth away, Clay popped her left handed just once. The powerfully built chestnut went into overdrive and blew by her rivals as if they were tied to the hedge. The streaking homebred keeps getting better and better. The sky’s the limit!
