Psycho Babble closed from way off the pace to get close to the winner at the end. Babble was over seventeen lengths behind Dancin in Seattle at the midway point and closed twelve lengths on the winner in the stretch but he was never really a serious threat. Long shot Casey’s Quest stalked the early pace and took up the chase in second into the stretch. He was unable to make up any significant ground in the stretch but held third five and a half lengths behind the winner.

General’s Chariot finds his way back to the winner’s circle. In another grand performance the General showed some versatility. Instead of falling off the pace several lengths the General stalked from third less than four lengths off the pace setter. At the top of the stretch he was full of run and mowed down the pace setters taking control mid stretch and drawing off to win by a length and a quarter.

Once Haunted stuck with the General in the early stages and tried to stick with him in the stretch but just could not match strides with the General. He was moving strong through the stretch earning his second, second place finish in a grade I in as many races. Kiki’s Solid Rock pressed the early pace but had no answer for the top two runners. Kiki held third two and a quarter lengths behind the winner.

None of the favorites fired today as Looking For More nails Hard to Handle at the wire. Looking For More will be a favorite in the future as he has now won two big grade I sprints coming from way off the pace. Hard to Handle pressed the early pace and took over at the top of the stretch. That is when Looking For More was getting into high gear. Hard to Handle was not slowing in the stretch with no one coming to challenge him. Looking For More was flying gobbling up ground all the way to the wire where he just got by Hard to Handle by three quarters of a length.

Final Thoughts stalked the early pace and moved into contention at the top of the stretch. He moved well through the stretch but was just not gaining ground on Hard To Handle and had no response as Looking For More flew by. He held off the late charges of a couple of other long shots for third a length and a half behind the winner.

Slew Can out duels Manifest Destiny to the wire. The top ten runners here finished within three and a quarter lengths of each other. There were a whole bunch of runners close to the pace and that created an interesting stretch run. Slew Can was seventh and Manifest Destiny was eighth in the early stages. These two moved in tandem through traffic and where right on the heels of Rahy Breaks Away (JPN) entering the stretch.

The stretch dual started about there as several other runners closed some ground on the leaders. Slew Can and Manifest Destiny eventually moved by long shot Rahy Breaks Away (JPN) in deep stretch finishing inches apart. It took a photo but Slew Can got the head victory over Manifest Destiny. Rahy Breaks Away (JPN) held third.

Wondergirl Elf shocks the field at 14-1. Elf appeared to really take to the sloppy track. Wondergirl Elf stalked the early pace from third. Johnston moved her to the front around the turn for home seizing the lead. She had a length lead into the stretch and made that count. She never really was threatened into the stretch winning by a length.

Armed With Money did her thing closing from way off the pace with a flurry. She was eleven and a half lengths off the early pace and closed quickly to get within a length of the winner at the wire. It was another deep closer Espresso D’Italia that closed to get third.
