TNT Is Da Bomb
Post one was drawn by Dirka Dirka (7/2) a nice looking dark bay filly by Vindication. She has been in the money in four of her six starts and has won two of them, The Cobrakai trainee followed her maiden win with a victory in the Sadly Into Wingo stakes and then tailed off a bit. She seems to be back on track with a good second last time out in an allowance race. This race will probably tell her trainer if she is a solid allowance filly or a legitimate stakes contender.
Tobasco Explosion (2/1) is a pretty bay filly by Phone Trick. She is trained by Tobascocat and is ranked # 47 with three wins from 11 starts. She has also only been out of the money twice in her career and was red hot as a 2 YO. She won the Furious Bloomer and placed well in three other stakes. She won the Godmother two back and was second last time out in the Mother Live with a speed figure of 92. I am not sure what she is doing in this lowly race but she is the one to beat or conversely the one with the most to lose.
Denveru has entered his bright chestnut filly by Miesque’s Son, Denver Doll (5/1) who has four wins from 15 starts. She has not won as a 3 YO but usually manages to hang around for minor parts. She finished third in the Siam Curad, the Mindsword, and the Five Star Wendy before running a terrible race last time out over a rain soaked track. There will be no rain on Saturday so she should return to form.
Breaking from the middle of the group is Germanic Blueprint (5/1), a plain brown filly by Perugino. She is the only other top 100 ranked filly in the race coming in at # 85. She has won three of 15 starts and although she has not won in over six months, she did run a decent second in the Off From Love two back at shorter. She has several graded attempts before stepping down the class ladder and hitting the board. Trained by Redburduk she will need a good showing if she wants to retain the ranking.
Lost In The Smog (4/1) is trained by 4deven and is by Buddha. She is one of the few with experience over this racetrack as she finished a closing fourth in the Queen Bluffy last time out. She is a stakes winner, taking the Maiden Star four back at 7 1/2 furlongs and with three wins from 11 starts she seems to be one that could move either way depending on her finish Saturday.
The outside post goes to Hot Sauce Demoss (9/2), a bay filly by Reset. Named for an NFR bareback rider, she is trained by Socalsgrl and is a two time winner. She finished a closing third last time out in the Bone Of Pegasus at shorter so the added distance might help her. She also has an out over the track when she finished second in the Three Burg but she is another who has not seen the winner’s circle in over six months. Her finish in this might decide her fate as to whether she stays at this level or drops down to where she can win. She does have improving speed figures and should like the longer distance.
