A strong field lines up for the 3yo sprint on grass for fillies.

IMPAZIBLE VISION  (MISSION IMPAZIBLE x FORTY NINER x SEATTLE SLEW) – Looks to love the front or just off it.  Since switching to grass hasnt finished worse than 2nd so looks to have a great chance.  With only one stakes win at her last start after dropping from the mile to the 1500m and having her finest SP of 94 another drop to the 1200m is either going to show she is an out and out sprinter or prefers it a little longer .

SONG STRIKE (UNBRIDLED’S SONG x SMART STRIKE x DANZIG) – Never out of the placings and again looks like she’ll go close.  GIVEN might be a little concerned as she didnt show much in the stretch when stepped up to Graded class after having a nice run. Was still close up, but in a hot field like this she will need to finish off stronger.  Has since won 2 stakes so she may have found her form again.

JENNY CRUSADER  (CRUSADE x SHAMARDAL x AWESOME AGAIN) – Had a nice 2nd in a stakes with a SP of 82. She would need to improve to compete in this field.

SILICA SAND  (BERNARDINI x KINGMAMBO x SADLER’S WELLS) – Another that improved lengths after switching to grass.  Ran past a quality filly last start for a strong win over 1500m posting 97sp. I  think she’ll improve again over the 1200m and looks an outstanding sprinting filly.

CAT SITH   (KITTEN’S JOY x KINGMAMBO x GREEN DESERT)  Only had the 2 starts and they were impressive albeit in restricted class.  Yet to see a stakes race and a bit unknown yet.  Has the breeding so its a watch the tote and see if the trainer lays a wad of cash.

HOSPITALIZED AGAIN  (GALILEO x STREET CRY x SADLER’S WELLS) Well bred with a strong staying pedigree so its a suprise she didnt measure up last start..  May have over raced.  After only ridding her maiden tag 2 starts ago it would suprise to see her pushing a few of these out of the cash.

SHAMUSCADA  (SHAMARDAL x SEEKING THE GOLD x NORTHERN DANCER) Had a lovely run of wins going through the grades and alondrita would have been a little disappointed with her last start.  May like it at the 1200m.

BLONDY   (FASTNET ROCK (AUS) x STORM CAT x DYNAFORMER) Love the breeding and she’s a smart looking filly.  Hasnt lost coming through the grades and this is her biggest test to date.  Looks as though she will handle the class rise and she’s one of the contenders.

JUPITER PEARL  ( EXCELEBRATION (IRE) x CAPE CANAVERAL x TILT THE STARS) A nice filly to have in the stable to have this one.  Its good to see some lesser used sires. Didnt quite get the 1400m trip 2 starts ago then returned for a strong 2nd in a graded race last start. One of the chances.

DANCING DANA  (HUSSONET x GALILEO x COZZENE) Another undefeated runner.  Has progressed well and has improved every start and step up in grade.   powerplay has placed her smartly but she comes up against a huge field of quality here and it will be hard if she draws wide.  Saying that though if she continues her improvement there’s no reason she cant win.

ROYALLY YOURS   (SEA THE STARS (IRE) x ROYAL ACADEMY x STORM BIRD) Another very well bred filly.  Didnt seem to match up to graded class and her last start was over a mile.  Dropping to 1200m might help but i feel there are a few here who have her measure.  Did have a nice stakes win over the trip in April 2013.

SHMADAMA DING DONG  (SHAMARDAL x DANZIG x LYCIUS) Well raced filly and seems to thrive on the work.  Nice last 2 runs and looks like she needs the pace on to run home from the rear. dundey will be looking for her to finish strongly.

PURRRRFECT SPIN (SPINNING WORLD x TALE OF THE CAT x SEATTLE SLEW) joplin has chosen a great name and will hope the filly lifts to grab a podium spot.  She hasnt run any spectacular speeds but this filly is all consistancy and rarely misses.  One to watch.

COWRA MISLED  (MEDICEAN (GB) x NUREYEV x ALYDAR) Meets Silica Sand for the 2nd time in as many runs.  Can she turn the tables? Time will tell.  Loves to lead and with a few others here parrothead will hope for a good draw.  Cannot discount.

RELAX DON’T DO IT   (SMART STRIKE x BELONG TO ME x CLEVER TRICK)  Hasnt missed since getting on the grass and this filly is another that will look for the lead. If its wet look out, this girl loves it.  mtk3man3 has  his heart in his hands as this filly just hangs on down the long straights. Can she do it again.  Lets wait and see.

SUDDEN STORMER (SUDDEN STORM (SAF) x FUJI KISEKI x NUREYEV) Ultra consistant and has that talent to win from anywhere in the field. Which could come in handy in a field with so many that will look to lead. bbaffert0 will be pouring over the speed maps and having a word to his jockey as to where this filly sits in the running.

With so many horses that like to sit up the front this could open the way for a swooper. There’s a lot of talent in this field and many have strong claims to favoritism. i’m looking forward to a great race.
