Chief Stir Bonanza attracts four
Maine– Kinghaven’s closer Wildwinds chases zambrano’s pacesetter Blame Canada in the $50,000 Chief Stir Bonanza. This 9.5 furlong grass event only attracts four sophomore fillies, one of which hails from the *Computer ranks.
WildWinds (6/5) triumphed over this distance at the ALW level last time out. The Buddha daughter out of a Seeking The Gold mare rallied from midpack to score a decent 83 SP# — a time that is more than capable of pocketing Saturday’s contest. The filly garners top jockey G. Giant(27%), but will have to run down a probable loose pacesetter in this short field.
And the best of which is Blame Canada (6/5), by Blushing Flame. This filly also steps up in class after a sprightly ALW score: Blame Canada triumphed over 9f turf with an 87 SP#. It was her career route debut after so-so times recorded over sprint distances. Competitive jock M McClendon (17%) guides the speedy starlet, looking for her initial black type score.
Blame Canada might take the lead herself or sit right behind frontrunner Hamilton Pool (5/2). Trained by austin, the Rock Slide daughter displays a similar career — she was average in sprints, but boasts 2-for-2 lifetime around two-turns. Hamilton Pool also romped in her last, recording an ALW 81 SP# over a flat mile. Jockey T. Robinson (4%) looks for his 2nd winner of 2006.
Folks won’t have to worry about the *Computer filly The Best Choice(AUS) (10/1). The Redoute’s Choice(AUS) filly enjoys two-turns at CL level. She’ll fade to last after 4 straight weekends of racing. 🙂
Great race spotting by all trainers! Look for Blame Canada to pick up Hamilton’s Pool’s early lead and hold off WildWinds down the lane.
