Deadly Debut Recap

#5 Woodbourne- Experience, solid past performances, and aclassy backend proved to be the formula for success as this E Dubai filly wasn’tover her head. Rocket 23 should be very pleased that she was able to hold on bya neck against a great group of maidens.

#8 Archezata- might need a bit more distance, but fillyshowed her class in this narrow loss. No doubt that black type will be in herfuture soon.

#11 Red Mosquito- Very consistent runner moved up a bit withthe stretch out. Should enjoy a bit more ground. Connections should be pleasedas she was 3 clear of the rest of the field

#1 Cowra Candy- Almost pulled off a shocker and hit the topthree. This filly should be an automatic must bet next time out with a bit moreground. Yet another filly who I predict to get at least a stakes placing in hercareer.

#10 C’est Magnifique- Wally should be pleased she held herspeed well for most the race, has the look of a horse who should enjoy moreground. Might not do much more until summer of her 3 yr old year.

#3 Make It Dead- Showed a little speed but faded at the topof the lane. The furry one wasn’t happy with the debut, but should improvegreatly in the next 6 months.

#2 BookofEzekiel- Another that flashed a bit of speed butfaded badly. This quasi-beat writer would suggest a switch to grass.

#7 Twisted Cadet- Dull effort, should need more time andmuch further to reach her best. Might like a sod chance.

#9 Pickering Ace- Ran backwards and didn’t show her kick.Looks like a late closing sprinter who will be best at 6.5-7f. May also benefitfrom some time off making 6 starts already as a juvi.

#4 Federica- Outclassed, should enjoy a drop into claimers

#6 Heiress To Rome- Confirmed with connections that she cameout of the race in good order. Maybe a turf sprinter? Too well bred, topconnections will figure her out.
