Seattle wins, on Saturday

By ITCH

Delta2tigr’s SEATTLE DELTA ($16) brought himself back to good form Saturday here in Old West Virginia with a convincing move on the turn, then rolling home for an easy 3 3/4-length score in the L’Rod Bull Special.

WASSIE’S RAINBOW G came a’ runnin’ late to overtake regular rival DIAMOND HEAD for the place spot, scoring three points for two-time defending champion Wassie in the West Virginia Stakes Competition and putting him back in a familiar spot, first place. Ts1442 gets two points for Diamond Head’s show spot earns and a tie in the standings for third with Texasace.

While we were rooting for our contest friends, we have to say we’re a lot happier to see Seattle win on Saturday, rather than, say, Super Bowl Sunday. It was a good-looking return to form for Seattle Delta, further cementing his status as the best-ever son or daughter of Running Stag ever in the Sim. Add this score over a good track to a Grade I win on a sloppy surface, and we’ve got a real top mudder here.
