The Juvenile Court Memorial 3yr old, 9.5f Turf.

THE JUVENILE COURT MEMORIAL
Race over 9.5 Turf.
By HeavyGear

This is going to be one hell of a race, with many top 2yr old milers
from last year getting there first taste of some real distance racing over 9.5f.
Mixed in with these season performers are some up and comers looking for
a chance to shine.

Here is the field in race order:

(1) REDWOOD SKY
Good first up win over 7.5f and has staying line of Nijinsky II in breeding
but race wasn’t particularly fast and the extra 2f may be asking a little
bit too much. May improve on first start but it’s going to be tough learning curve here.

(2) ESKIMO CHANT
In form and good win over 8.5f last start. Should get the distance but
may not be up to the class of the top hopefuls.

(3) OTTO CLASSIC
Improving type, distance is a query however as has yet to race over the mile.
May need a few more runs to hit its straps.

(4) RED EYES
Best career start when 3rd in The PUSHER Bonaza Stakes last start over a mile.
Beaten by Crimson Sun who is one of the hopefuls here, need to produce similar
run here to get in the money. Not without a chance.

(5) CRIMSON SUN
Tough streetfighting front-runner. Its his first test over a mile but has been
a class act so far and should be in the money here.

(6) COMET (IRE)
He could definitely be the party-pooper for Crimson Sun and Heskey,
has been doing his best over the routes with a fine win at 8.5f in allowance
company last start. Don’t disgard.

(7) MILWAUKE BREWSTER
Winner of allowance at 8.5f but slowly run race, only and
outside chance. Prefer others.

(8) WACKY WACO (IRE)
Nice run last start when 2nd at 8f. Form is improving and
seemed to find his groove last start when coming from behind,
rather than leading out. But looks tested here.

(9) DA VINCI CO ED
Hasn’t been racing well and a very disappointing
10 lengths 6th in Japan at 8.5f last time out.
Hard to fancy on that form.

(10) HESKEY
If you thought the race would be run slow and steady, not a chance
with the pace-master himself entering the fray.
Has had a tough race schedule of stakes races, and has been
mixing it up with the best up to 8.5f.
Hard to see him not popping up again here. A definite chance.

.
This is a tough one to call, preparation suggests Heskey should win this
but Crimson Sun is just one of those unstoppable juggernauts and will
probably just find another gear when it needs it.
And if they are not careful with the pace battle in front there’s Comet.
and a few others waiting to pounce. I’ll let you decide.
