Missouri Doctor Abdul Bonanza Race Re-cap

With a furlong to go Triscay’s Koorawatha the Sim’s 5th rated Classical 3-year old and 3/1 favorite was clinging to a tenuous ½ length lead over 18/1 longshot Cardinal10’s Packin Gacken. Little did he know that would be the least of his worries as Gradetwo’s Breeding Empire Oneworld’s Woodyna and Stormchase’s Tapit From Behind  were all beginning to unleash a furious stretch rally, that would inhale the two leaders in mid-stretch. Tapit From Behind made the type of “BOLD” move that has certainly stamped him as one of the 3-year olds to watch as the 2006 Triple Crown begins to unfold

As predicted Triscay’s Koorawatha, pressed tightly by Cardinal10’s speedy Packin Glacken streaked out to the early lead, with Gradetwo’s Breeding Empire and Alphabetso’s  Shift Into Slew trying desperately to cling to the early pace,  Tapit From Behind and Woodyna both unhurried early rated comfortably in 7th and 5th. The two leaders had opened up a clear ( 3 ) length lead nearing the stretch, it was obvious that Tapit From Behind was closing the gap and winding up for a winning effort, but still needed to find an opening. In mid-stretch Koorawatha was tiring but dead game and Packin Glacken was slowly fading back, Woodyna and Breeding Empire were locked in a close duel and inching past the tiring leaders, but none of them had enough left in the tank as Tapit From Behind literally overpowered the field, Woodyna prevailed over  Breeding Empire for the place honors, with Koorawatha hanging on for 4th.
