1 | KYLIE | 10/1 | 5yo mare out of an “F” rated mare that preferred dirt. She has turned out to be a six time winner on the grass, and has settled into being a competitive grass sprinter. She has four stakes wins, but has yet to win a graded. Just missing in a G2 short field two races back, she will have to regain the form of her 2004 campaign to be effective here.
2 | GRAUSTURM | 9/2 |
Scratch bred Storm Cat mare with 13 wins and 1.7 mil in the bank, has 5 graded victories in her career. She raced only four times in 2004 which leads me to believe the trainer took a break from the sim. As a 5yo she has been racing open allowance and regular stakes in which she has won 3 times all at 7.5f. She is very capable of running well here and will probably be in the second group awaiting a move in the stretch.
3 | YABADABA DOO | 30/1 |
Mare is 0 for one on turf, and has yet to win an allowance. ‘nuff said.
4 | GRAPHIC PARADE | 30/1 |
6yo mare has 5 wins in short 13 race career, all of them getting thru conditions and at route distances. Nice mare, but not here.
5 | K’S ADDIKTION | 8/1 |
4yo filly scratch bred to Gulch, has 8 victories in 19 starts. Trainer has worked her through conditions and she has two stakes wins in her last three outs. This is a huge step up, but there are some here that aren’t at their best at the moment. Trainer is hoping for a good showing, and will find out what the gal is made of come Saturday (as will all of us).
6 | THE AUS BOSS(AUS) | 4/1 |
4yo filly scratch bred to Nothin Leica Dane, has 8 wins from just 13 starts! This filly has won graded on turf and dirt, and from 6f to a mile. Included in her rap sheet is a near miss last out at 10f in the G1 Yellow Submarine Stks. How cool is that? Although she hasn’t won in 6 months, I’d have to say she and the #14 are the ones to beat in this. If she doesn’t get up in time, she’ll scare the heck out of them in the stretch!
7 | NAG OF NOTLEY | 16/1 |
4yo filly scratch bred to Gone West, this gal has 14 wins in 30 races and 700 large in the bank. Trainer got her through most of her conditions as a sprinter, and then saw her capability as a router. She went on to win multiple stakes events at route distances, but couldn’t crack the graded events. Now she will try to regain her sprinter form of long ago and may need this race to get back on track. Can’t see her winning, but could show life here.
8 | 9/1 |
Honest 4yo filly scratch bred to Seeking the Gold. She started her career on dirt and won a few, but has turned into a capable turf sprint stakes winner. ITM in her last two G3 sprints, she will contest the pace in this. If she can break away, she will be able to carry her speed well. However, if a speed duel occurs, she may not have the reserve to finish out.
9 | WONDERGIRL CHIPRE | 11/1 |
4yo out of a “G” rated horse who favored dirt. She has won on both surfaces, but her stakes wins have been on the grass. After a layoff, she has come back to form with an allowance win in her last. Don’t know if she will be ready for this level, but she is sharp and is very capable of a good run if others falter.
10 | GALLANT BALLADO | 23/1 |
6yo mare out of a “G” rated horse that preferred dirt, this lady has been out of sorts lately. Out of her 8 wins she has just one stakes victory. Putting that into perspective with her last showing, she will be hard pressed to show well here.
11 | GRAND DESSERT | 12/1 |
4yo scratch bred to Septieme Ciel, this lightly raced filly (15 starts), has 5 wins and 5 places in her short career. Getting through conditions with a couple of route wins to complete, she has placed in a couple of stakes events lately. She has cracked the 100SP barrier only once and will need that effort here. Giving the benefit of the doubt, a minor check is possible. She’s young and unproven.
12 | BEAUTIFUL BUDA | 10/1 |
4yo out of an “F” rated horse preferring dirt, this filly has a shrewd trainer that knows how to win. Filly has 2 graded wins at a distance. She has tried only one sprint in her career, that being on dirt, and placed in that. Going short here, she may surprise with speed and never look back. This is one not to be taken lightly.
13 | 45/1 |
6yo CPU bred, this mare has 4 wins in just 5 starts! Yeah, she is a looong shot here, but what the hey, she’s full of herself right now. Six years old! You go for it, girl (err, lady)!
14 | GRASS | 6/1 |
4yo out of an ”H” rated horse, her sire is |
