Equinics Colonial Downs (turf) 9 Furlongs
Despite the presence of four of the top rated 3 year old Turf Route Division fillies, Trainer Urcres1’s lightly raced filly Prabhu Deva has been tabbed by the Berkshire Track Handicapper as a “slight” 5-1 favorite, despite the presence of 4 of the top 25 ranked division leaders. Leading the challenge against the 158th ranked Prabhu Deva , will be Trainer Tetsch’s # 3 ranked Tom And Pap 7-1, Trainer Jetair’s # 5 ranked Quality Buzz 6-1, Trainer Provolone’s # 9 ranked Dancer Impactus 9-1 and Trainer Correction’s # 25 ranked filly Mercato 9-1. All in all, 10 of the 16 starters are ranked in the top 105 in the 3 year old Filly Turf Route Division, guaranteeing that claiming the victory will certainly not be an easy “walk in the park” for the favored filly. The Berkshire Turf Course is firm, well trimmed and playing fast, which should ensure a brisk, but honest pace in today’s 9 furlong test.
# 1 MERCATO ( 9/1 ) Residence: Vermont
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Dubawi Dam (sire line): Danzig
Owner: correction Jockey: J. Cox
S48 RATING 179.9 Style: Off Pace Closer
Trainer Correction summed up the brief career of his 3 year old filly Mercato perfectly. “She’s a talented filly who’s run some good races and she’s thrown a few hints that she can compete at the game’s highest levels, but she just hasn’t put it altogether yet”! Mercato’s is 2 for 2, having won both minor Stake event’s she competed in. However in Graded Stakes company, she’s recorded one 2nd place finish and a pair 3rd place efforts in 6 tries, not terrible, but certainly less than trainer Correction hoped for, her best effort to date was a hard charging 2nd place effort in the Grade-3 Tristan Fillies, where Mercato rallied from 8th place and caught up 10 ½ of the 12 lengths she trailed by going into the final turn, a very respectable move by any standard, against high class fillies.
COMMENT: Up and down efforts against Graded competition, experienced against this level, eligible to move forward and surprise today.
# 2 DRINKIN MONEY ( 11/1 ) Residence: Blazing Saddles
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Street Cry Dam (sire line): A. P. Indy
Owner: dansili Jockey: M. Day
S48 RATING 183.9 Style: Stalker / Pace Presser
Dansili is another trainer, who has slowly and patiently raced his 3 year old filly Drinkin Money up the class ladder on level at a time. Utilizing different surface, distance and class moves, she’s reached the point now, the 10th race of her career where Drinkin Money definitely deserves some respect here, at the top Grade-1 level of turf routing. Ironically the only “bad” race, Drinkin Money ran was when Dansili got uncharacteristically aggressive and entered her in the Grade-3 Penelope Cruz Stake before tackling the minor Stake level crowd at 10 ½ furlongs, a farther distance than she had ever previously competed at. Dansili promptly entered her next in the $70,000 Spacious Melody Turf Route and even though it was another 10 ½ furlong event, she responded to the class level drop with a nice 2nd place effort, where she had the lead but hung in mid stretch. I like a trainer that realizes his horses limitations, in her last race Dansili wisely elected to cut Drinkin Money back to the 9 ½ furlong distance against the same level of Stake competition and Drinkin Money responded with a huge win, recording a 107 speed rating which certainly indicates she belongs with the best in the division and brings her into this event at the “peak” of her racing form.
COMMENT: A repeat of her latest effort should earn her at least a decent piece of the purse, any move forward and she’s a definite threat to bag the winner’s share.
# 3 PRABHU DEVA ( 5/1 ) Residence: Universal Racing Club
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Danehill Dancer Dam (sire line): Affirmed
Owner: urcres1 Jockey: P. Harzheim
S48 RATING 122.2 Style: Mid Pack Closer / Stalker
Trainer Urcres1’s lightly raced filly Prabhu Deva sure has the look of a budding turf “superstar”. In her first 2 starts as a 2 year old, She easily broke her Maiden and then breezed to victory against Conditioned Allowance NW-2L runners. In her next start, moving up a condition to invade the Allowance NW-3L ranks, Prabhu Deva abandoned her “stalking” running style and assumed the lead right out of the gate, at the 4 furlong marker she looked like she may pull off the wire to wire victory. Halfway through the stretch Pradhu Deva began to labor and was eventually caught and had to settle for 2nd place. Her next attempt at NW-3L trainer Urcres1 decided to test her in a 6 ½ furlong sprint and return her to relaxing mid pack while the early lead was being contested, Prabhu Deva unleashed a furious rally down the stretch but fell just ¼ length short and again brought home 2nd place money. Her 3rd try at the Allowance NW-3L level proved to be the charm as Prabhu Deva returned to routing and the added 1 ½ furlongs proved to be perfect as she unleashed her rally around the final turn and won by a comfortable 2 lengths recording a fabulous speed rating of 106 during the win. Her final tune up for today’s event was her first venture into Stakes company in the 8 ½ furlong Grade-3 Hot Springs Stake. Good Choice set very fast early fractions and opened up a 7 length lead thru 6 furlongs, Prabhu Deva valiantly rallied in the final 2 furlongs and cut the margin to 1 ¾ lengths, but again had to settle for 2nd money. It was an extremely fast race and Prabhu Deva earned a blazing 109 speed rating despite not winning.
COMMENT: I really like her but have to question the 5-1 favoritism, as she’s never won a Stake and is still relatively untested. A repeat of her latest effort should earn her at least a decent piece of the purse, possibly the winner’s share.
# 4 THE FLYING WOLF ( 7/1 ) Residence: GR Simsters
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Arch Dam (sire line): Nureyev
Owner: icbomber2 Jockey: J. Benisz
S48 RATING 678.1 Style: Mid Pack Closer / Pace Presser
It was obvious in her last race as a 2 year old that Icbomber2 had big plans for his nicely bred filly The Flying Wolf. After rattling off 3 consecutive wins, moving up in class each time from Maiden to Allowance NW-2L to a local Restricted Stake, with improving speed speed figures from 71 to 81 to a very respectable 88. Icbomber2 immediately took a shot and entered her against the Sim’s best in the Grade-1 Juvenile Filly. Even though she finished 5th best that day in the field of 14, and managed to improve her speed figure best to 91. Icbomber wasted little time when the Flying Wolf turned 3, after a tune up race, she immediately notched another Restricted Stake win, running a career best 100 speed rating. Icbomber2 didn’t waste any time after that entering her in 2 Grade-1 12 furlong events where she bounced in the first, then rounded back into form with a nice 3rd place finish in the 2nd. These were followed by a cutback to the Grade-3 Chloe, her latest effort, where she ran a bang up 2nd to Quality Buzz, earning a career high 108 speed rating, and stamping her as one of the top contenders in today’s contest.
COMMENT: Like the class cutback move, this race sets up nicely for her versatile running style. Experience vs. Grade-1 and knocking on the door, repeat of last effort puts her squarely in contention for top prize.
# 5 CK ROC OF AGES ( 39/1 ) Residence: Minnesota Downs
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Roc De Cambes Dam (sire line): Raise A Native
Owner: bhima2 Jockey: B. Tate
S48 RATING 77.3 Style: Mid Pack Closer
The entry of his 3 year old filly CK Roc Of Ages, in a spot this ambitious, represents a curious move and shows a giant leap of faith from trainer bhima2, who up to this point has shown a good patient attitude guiding his filly to break her Allowance NW-2L Condition in her last race after 5 attempts producing very mixed results. I’m sure it was Ck Roc Of Ages improvement in this Allowance event that emboldened Bhima2 to choose this Grade-1 event as her first Stake entry. While CK Roc Of Ages did show good improvement in the race, running a career best 92 speed figure, further scrutiny of that race shows that only ( 1 ) horse in that field was Stake placed and none of them had earned over $42,000 in their careers, so this really is a huge class hike for the Bhima2’s trained filly.
COMMENT: Really asking a lot to expect much from her with this dramatic of a class rise, finishing in the upper half would be a very nice accomplishment against these.
# 6 DE BABE ( 10/1 ) Residence: Queensland
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Encosta De Lago Dam (sire line): Flying Spur
Owner: whobegoto Jockey: H. Harzheim
S48 RATING 230.9 Style: Off Pace Closer
High risk, high reward, is the approach trainer Whobegoto has taken with his prize filly De Babe. Moving De Babe into Stakes competition, immediately after she broke her Maiden in her 3rd start took some faith. De Babe rewarded Whobegoto’s confidence with a victory in the Corka Can Juvenile fill Stake, followed 4 weeks later with a decent fast closing 4th place finish in the Grade-3 Calvados. A Restricted Stake victory and a bang up 2nd place finish in the Grade-3 Dormello Stake, where De Babe missed victory by the length of her neck. Trainer Whobegoto then decided to shoot the moon and go for the big 2 year old filly prize in the Grade-1 Breeders Bowl Filly Juvenile. De Babe tried hard and finished a respectable, but unthreatening 7th place, beaten 10 ½ lengths. Since the Breeders Bowl, De Babe has tried 3 Minor Stakes and 2 Grade-3 Stakes and had similar results in all 5, she tried hard and never quit running earning ( 2 ) 2nd’s, ( 1 ) 3rd and ( 2 ) 4th place finishes. Looking at the bright side, her last race the Grade-3 Chloe Stake, was arguably her best. Despite a 4th place finish, she was only beaten 2 ¼ lengths and ran a very creditable 106 speed figure, easily her career best, against pretty talented field.
COMMENT: Honest runner, always tries, late running style and facing tough competition have blocked her from visiting winner’s circle as a 3 year old. De Babe is always a threat for a minor award but all the planets must align for her to win or place in this field.
# 7 SALTIRE BRONZE ( 98/1 ) Residence: Saltire
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Observatory Dam (sire line): Seeking The Gold
Owner: whobegoto Jockey: A. Mack
S48 RATING 85.3 Style: Mid Pack Closer / Stalker
Chronological list of career race accomplishments for trainer Whobegoto’s 3 year old filly Saltire Bronze:
1st start: Maiden Spl Weight, Saltire Bronze broke 6th in a field of 6, passed 1 tired runner near the finish line, earned an ok 71 speed rating.
2nd start: Maiden Spl. Weight: Saltire Bronze broke her maiden against a 4 horse field whose combined earnings to date is approx. $90,000, respectable speed rating improvement to 79.
3rd start: Allowance NW-2L: Saltire Bronze broke 5th in a field of 10, finished 6th beaten 12 ½ length, there were 0 Stake Winners/Place horses in the field.
Credentials aren’t close to competing at the Stakes Level, much less the elite Graded runners that populate this tough field.
COMMENT: A top 3 finish would have the “Pope” asking Whobegoto for blessings, a 4th thru 8th finish would qualify as a minor miracle, Saltire Bronze may turn out to be a Stakes caliber runner, but she’s nowhere near it now.
# 8 DANCER IMPACTUS ( 9/1 ) Residence: Hispano Parlante
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Deep Impact Dam (sire line): Northern Dancer
Owner: provolone Jockey: D. Evans
S48 RATING 344.8 Style: Off Pace Closer
I really like and appreciate the patient textbook style trainer Provolone has used in guiding his emerging star Dancer Impactus to an impressive, 8 wins, 1 2nd’ and 2 3rd place finishes in her 11 career races. Trainer Provolone took the time to pinpoint her best racing style and qualities and then proceeded to utilize the step ladder approach in moving her through the full complement of Conditioned Allowance competition only then did Provolone decide to raise the bar and invade the Stakes circuit. In just about every race, you’ll notice he challenged Dancer Impactus with a like bit harder competition and / or a different set of track conditions and distances. Provolone’s handling of Dancer Impactus is a great study, for anyone that wants to learn a Classic approach to training a “good” horse, bringing it along one step at a time and developing and refining his horses adaptability and race record along the way.
COMMENT: Have to respect a horse and trainer combo that is able to win 8 of 11 starts and notches a 1st and a 3rd in their first 2 Graded Stake efforts. Like the distance cutback, has a “big” chance to win here, and rise to the top of the division “elite” 2 or 3 runners. Juicy 9-1 odds make her a real bargain bet.
# 9 NOTHINGISTHESAME ( 71/1 ) Residence: DelPenn
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Smart Strike Dam (sire line): More Than Ready
Owner: mr. kyle Jockey: P. Norton
S48 RATING 24.0 Style: Pace Presser
Nice looking filly finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in her first 2 maiden efforts, both on the dirt at 6 and 6 ½ furlongs. Trainer Mr. Kyle then made a good decision and gave his 3 year old filly Nothingisthesame a go at the grass and astutely cut back the distance to 5 ½ furlongs, which fits her pace pressing running style very well. Good move, Nothingisthesame pressed the early leader Lemon Drop Bid until the stretch and then easily walked by him to break her Maiden earning a decent 73 speed rating in the process. A good start to a promising racing career, unfortunately that’s where the past history ends and Mr. Kyle has decided Nothingisthesame will challenge today’s Grade-1 runners for her first test against winners. It’s the horseracing equivalency of starting off a young student with Trigonometry when they first enter the 1st grade.
COMMENT: Very little hope for a top 3 finish, another filly who would be doing well to finish in the top 8. Hopefully she gains some experience and moves forward from the race.
# 10 HARBY WALLBANGER ( 77/1 ) Residence: Comedy Central
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Harbinger Dam (sire line): Sadler’s Wells
Owner: mayhem Jockey: C. Millhouse
S48 RATING 96.1 Style: Off Pace Closer
It’s been a good news, bad news, career for trainer Mayhem’s 3 year old filly Harby Wallbanger. As a 2 year old she showed great promise, recording speed figures in the solid 77 to 84 range, and winning 3 of her 5 turf tries, including the Restricted Comedy Central Filly Juvenile Stake to close out her 2 year old campaign. However after a lengthy layoff, she’s returned as a 3 year old and her 1st race against conditioned Allowance NW-4L went very badly, finishing last in a short field of 4. Harby’s 2nd race, another Conditioned Allowance NW-1six months had a better result, 2nd but again in a short field of 4, but she did manage an 81 speed rating, so she’s beginning to show signs of racing life again.
COMMENT: Hard to generate real enthusiasm for a runner with 81 as a speed figure best as a 3 year old, need to improve at least 14 points to factor with these. I think she’ll be a useful runner again, but she looks to be far short of where she needs to be now to threaten this field. A pass until she regains sharp form.
# 11 TAKEITTOTHESTREET ( 15/1 ) Residence: TESTBARN
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Curlin Dam (sire line): Street Cry
Owner: ratem Jockey: T. Small
S48 RATING 186.2 Style: Off Pace / Mid Pack Closer
On the surface, trainer Ratem’s 3 year old filly Takeittothestreet looks to be somewhat outclassed today, especially on the heels of her last 2 turf efforts. However if you look her performances over carefully, you can make the case that her efforts weren’t as bad as they appear. Ratem started Takeittothestreet’s career on the dirt and she looked to be pretty comfortable on that surface, quickly breaking her Maiden in her 3rd effort. For her next start, Ratem was very ambitious with her, immediately entering her in a Grade-3 event where she ran a creditable 6th, only beaten 4 ½ lengths. She followed that race with her best dirt effort a nice 2nd place finish in the Rusty Deputy Stake, just missing the win by less than a length. Her last effort of her 2 year old season was a try against Grade-1 company where she just didn’t fire finishing 13th of 14 entries. This prompted Raem to try Takeittothestreet on the turf for her 3 year old debut and she really took to the grass, scoring a win against Open Allowance runners and posting a career best 90 speed fig. in the process. After 2 disastrous failed dirt Stake efforts, Takeittothe street returned to the turf and impressively rattled off a win in the Laura’s Parade Filly Stake and an really impressive 2nd place finish in the Grade-3 Cleopatra Stake earning a 102 speed figure. Rakem again got real ambitious and tried her in the Grade-1 Diana Grand Prix, where she tracked the speed in 5th but came up empty in the turn home. Her last start produced a 6th place finish against Open Allowance runners. This race would hardly suggest Takeittothestreet belongs here today, but it was only a 6 ½ furlong event and she was just starting to rally near the finish, so my guess is another furlong or 2 and she would have done much better.
COMMENT: Although it’s very debatable whether Takeittothestreet has the ability to actually defeat a field of this caliber, I look for her to run an improved effort and a minor show or purse money finish wouldn’t surprise me much, the 15-1 odds make her somewhat of a value play.
# 12 MAGIC MOON ( 16/1 ) Residence: Midas
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Malibu Moon Dam (sire line): Sadler’s Wells
Owner: sheen Jockey: T. Loesch
S48 RATING 233.2 Style: Mid Pack Closer
Even though Trainer Sheen’s 3 year old filly Magic Moon’s lightly raced record reads 7 starts with 3 wins and 2 seconds, you can readily see that he’s done a really nice job of accomplishing his trainer goals, while also testing Magic Moon under different conditions. Magic Moon’s 1st race, on the surface, doesn’t look real impressive, however entering a first time starter at the grueling 7 ½ furlong distance on the turf is a real test of stamina. She finished a rallying 4th in a field of 9, posting a respectable 74 speed rating. For her 2nd Maiden effort, Sheen stretched Magic Moon to 8 furlongs and she responded with a hard charging 2nd place effort only missing the winners circle by 1 ¾ lengths with an improved speed fig. of 79. Sheen brought her back the last day of 2011 under the same conditions and Magic Moon responded with a winning effort to shed her Maiden tag. Trainer Sheen then decided to give Magic Moon a crack at the dirt for her first go against Conditioned Allowance NW-2L runners. When she came home 4th beaten 8 ½ he felt pretty sure that turf racing was in her future. Sheen returned her to the grass and added a furlong, today’s race distance, and Magic Moon responded in a big way, cruising to a 2 ½ length victory. In her next start against Conditioned Allowance NW-3L, Magic Moon had an extra furlong to tackle and duplicated her last race performance again breezing home 2 ½ lengths ahead of the rest, posting a lifetime best 100 speed rating. In preparation for this race, Sheen decided to test Magic Moon against Stake competition, the Grade-1 French Diana, and when Magic Moon came home 2nd in the field of 9, Sheen knows that his filly has taken that 1st big step towards stardom.
COMMENT: It doesn’t get much better than this as far as 16-1 long shots go. I know her speed ratings are a bit light, but this filly’s done a lot of things right and has the ability to improve and join the division’s best. Hard to ignore at 16-1.
# 13 JAGGED LIL PILL ( 8/1 ) Residence: East / West Connection
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Majestic Warrior Dam (sire line): Galileo
Owner: aussloth Jockey: A. Craig
S48 RATING 287.3 Style: Early Speed / Pace Presser
“Persistence” is the key to the success for trainer Aussloth, and his Late-Blooming 3 year old filly, Jagged Lil Pill. Inconsistent as a 2 year old, she managed to break her maiden on her 3rd try, but failed to crack the Alw. Nw-2L Condition in 4 subsequent 2 year old attempts. After a 5 week freshening, Aussloth entered her in an Open Allowance turf sprint, to assess where Jagged Lil Pill was going to fit as a 3 year old, much to his delight she finished a spirited 2nd, only beaten 1 ¾ lengths. Jagged Lil Pill then managed to rattle off 3 wins in her next 4 starts, she climbed the Conditioned Allowance step ladder, winning first a NW-2L, then a NW-3L and lastly the NW-4L. With nothing left to prove in the Allowance ranks, Aussloth aggressively targeted the Stakes for his filly, to date Jagged Lil Pill has managed 3 consecutive 2nd place finishes in 3 Stake efforts, including the 12 furlong Grade-1 Adelaide Stake and her latest, the 12 furlong Grade-2 Rippleschips Stake. In all 3 races she had the lead turning home but couldn’t hold off the determined stretch running winners.
COMMENT: She’s got loads of speed and will be one of the prominent runners early without a doubt, and will duel for the lead until she runs out of gas or hits the wire whichever comes first. She’s certainly got tons of experience and credentials, a big effort that results in a win really wouldn’t shock anyone.
# 14 TOM AND PAP ( 7/1 ) Residence: City Race Rhein Main Turf Club
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Falbrav Dam (sire line): Green Dancer
Owner: tetsch Jockey: K. Ledwith
S48 RATING 573.5 Style: Off Pace Closer
After a stellar 2 year old campaign, in which she garnered wins in 4 of her 6 starts, including the Grade-3 Winter Gin and the Grade-2 Silver Spoon Juvenile. Trainer Tetsch’s talented filly Tom And Pap looked liked she might fall victim to the 3 year old sophomore curse. Tom And Pap’s stretch rallies fell short in her 1st 3 races as a 3 year old, although she did manage a pair of 2nd’s and a 3rd to make it 3 of 3 in the money, and actually her 2nd place finish in the Grade-1 Japanese Guineas, where she earned a career best 100 speed rating was a real good effort. However, her 4th 3 year old race in the 12 furlong Grade-1 Japanese Oaks was nothing short of disastrous, finishing a well beaten 10th 22 lengths behind the winner. That race left trainer Tetsch scratching his head as to what’s next, in an inspired, but daring training move Tetsch decided to bring Tom And Pap right back 2 weeks later in the Grade-2 Full Moon Handicap and what a difference 2 weeks made. Tom And Pap rallied from 6 ¾ length behind turning home and prevailed by over a length drawing away and posting a career best 105 speed figure, that certainly puts her squarely in the thick of today’s competition.
COMMENT: She seems to have turned the corner as a 3 year old. Pretty sure that she’ll be “flying” late, just might be good enough to win and is certainly a real good bet for a top 3 finish. A definite “must” to include in all exotic wagers today.
# 15 INSTANT OFFENSE ( 12/1 ) Residence: NWRC
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Fujikiseki Dam (sire line): Zafonic
Owner: handshob34 Jockey: P. Wright
S48 RATING 158.0 Style: Mid Pack Stalk / Pace Presser / Early Speed
It’s always interesting and definitely at times, frustrating just how unpredictable and sometimes random horse racing can be. It behooves a trainer to always prepare for the worst and have a Plan B in mind. Trainer handshob34’s filly Instant Offense is a classic example of a horse sending mixed signals. Tracing her last 5 Stake turf races this season, that up and down unpredictability reared it’s ugly head. In the minor 8 ½ furlong $25,000 Lawn Mower Again Stake, she ran a respectable 2nd in a field of 6 at odds of 5-1 earning a decent 95 speed figure. Her next start was at 12 furlongs in the $300,000 New Zealand Oaks, where Instant Offense grabbed the lead at 4 furlongs and held on tenaciously to finish 3rd only beaten 1 ¼ lengths vs. a full field of 14 at the generous odds of 14 – 1. Next handshob34 got really ambitious and moved her up to Grade-1 $500,000 Sydney Oaks, a race where Instant Offense never really got going and finished a distant 13th of 14 entries. Ignoring that disaster, handshob34 decided a cutback to 10 furlongs and a drop back to Grade-3 was where she belonged. Instant Offense rewarded him with the best race of her career, winning the $50,000 Wooly Mammoth and recording a career best 101 speed rating.
COMMENT: Can’t dismiss her totally out of hand, she’s 13 of 14 in the money lifetime, has some good Stake efforts on her resume’, but seeing Instant Offense coming home 1st or 2nd would be a bit of a shock and certainly a minor upset.
# 16 QUALITY BUZZ ( 6/1 ) Residence: Empire State Racing
3-Year Old Filly Sire: Elusive Quality Dam (sire line): El Prado
Owner: jetair Jockey: J. Stivers
S48 RATING 334.4 Style: Off Pace / Mid Pack Closer
A surefire sign that you’ve got a “special” runner is the way your horse responds to changes in conditions, surfaces, distance etc… and class hikes. With a 6 furlong Maiden victory and 2 mediocre Conditioned Allowance efforts (all on the dirt), trainer Jetair rolled the dice with his filly Quality Buzz and entered her in a 7 furlong Open Allowance Turf event. To jetair’s delight Quality Buzz responded in a “big” way, to the class hike, mowing down the competition with a thrilling stretch run and recording an 83 speed figure in the process. Jetair then let Quality Buzz tackle Stakes company and she again came up “big” with a nice 2nd place effort, missing her 1st Stake victory by less than a length. Quality Buzz capped her 2 year old season with a rousing victory in the Nexus Ribbon Turf Filly Juvenile. As a 3 year old, Quality Buzz has done nothing to damper Jetair’s enthusiasm, notching another minor Stake win. Her last 2 races have been nothing short of “sensational” winning the Grade-1 St. Larry followed by her latest triumph in the Grade-3 Chloe Stakes where she recorded a “huge” 109 speed rating certainly stamp her as the one to beat today.
COMMENT: Accomplished Graded winner has been dynamic on the turf, and has earned her ranking in the top 5 of the 3 year old filly turf route list. Only question is will she somewhat regress (bounce) from her last huge efforts, otherwise should be favored to notch 3rd straight Graded victory.
