Florida Derby (9F – Grade One – Fast Dirt)

Florida Derby winner MARKING TIMES has earned its spot in the Derby with an impressive victory posting what looks to be the fastest speed in the projected Derby field. MARKING TIMES sat a few lengths off the lead and finally put together a winning race at the perfect time after coming up short in its first three stakes races with second place finishes.

Arkansas Juvenile (9F – Grade One – Fast Dirt)

The Arkansas Juvenile brings another Derby contender into the picture as STAR WALKIN’ rebounded from a disappointing graded debut last time out posting what would have been the top speed for the Derby field if not for the Florida Derby.

Sand Castle Derby (9F – Grade One – Fast Dirt)

The final new Derby contender from last weekend’s Locks is WEST D’ORO from the Sand Castle Derby who earned its first stakes win by an impressive three length margin. Not the fastest speed of the contenders, but with that margin of victory the jockey might have just left a little in the tank to unleash in the big race.
