Picked up another two weeks ago when Department H (6th<\/SUP> choice with betters) rallied from last to first paying $15.50 for the win.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Unforunately, my second choice Diablic Carlson could not follow suit and finished forth.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Erratic Invasion ran a fine race, finishing second and Wild Silver Skunk, who set the fractions, held on for third.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

On to this weeks Spotlight event which is the 7th<\/SUP> race in Nebraska<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A full field of 14 will run 7 furlongs on fast dirt track.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It is a $2,000 claiming race open to all horse age 4 and over but is restricted to horses that are winless for the past year.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

1. Ruling House\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>7-2<\/SPAN>-Best races have been on an off-track.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Track turned up dry which diminishes chances, but is taking sizeable drop which may be an offset.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Has chance but with risks. <\/P>

<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/P>

2. \u00a0<\/SPAN>See The Lights\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>6-1<\/SPAN>-Hit speed of 90 two back at similar level, finishing 3rd<\/SUP>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Adds \u00bd furlong which my be just enough distance to make it to the wire first.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Worth a look.<\/P>

3.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Iron Advocte\u00a0 <\/SPAN>9-1<\/SPAN>-Poor outcome in last race with speed of 72 after 5-month layoff.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Prior races were mid-80\u2019s and he may need another race to get back up to previous conditioning.<\/P>

4. \u00a0<\/SPAN>Grtiot Drive Inn\u00a0 <\/SPAN>15-1<\/SPAN>-Speeds over past year have been in low 70 to low 80 range.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Horse has not been on board since last January.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Doesn\u2019t look likely to do much better in this one.<\/P>

5. Darth Stoners\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>12-1<\/SPAN>-Claimed in early January and has been resting for two months.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Prior connections raced horse too aggressively with speeds dropping from mid-90\u2019s to mid 60\u2019s.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>New connections has excellent track record with horses.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>If rest was long enough, this one could pay off very nicely!<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

6 \u00a0<\/SPAN>Reward Returned\u00a0 <\/SPAN>10-1<\/SPAN>-Horse has only two races since 2008 with poor results.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Needs to race with some regularity.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has shown speeds in the past that would be competitive at this level.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Just needs time to get into racing form.<\/P>

7. \u00a0<\/SPAN>No Effin\u2019 Way\u00a0 <\/SPAN>9-1<\/SPAN>-Speeds have been in mid-80 range and horse is taking decent drop in claiming level.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Usually runs near lead but has history of tailing off in late race stages.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Be interesting to see how he would do if held off the lead.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Could get some purse money in the conditions for this race.<\/P>

8.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/SPAN>West Stevens\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>10-1\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>-Has been on board once in last 13 races and this 9-year old may be slowing down.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Speeds in last two have dropped below 80.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He does show some late running ability and may desire longer distance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/P>

9.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Tropical Colors\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>17-1<\/SPAN>-Horse is loaded with early speed and lately has found a way to pick up some purse checks.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Hasn\u2019t raced since September with top speed being 85.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The speeds may not be as good as others, but the speed may be enough to get something.<\/P>

10.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Burnin\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>14-1<\/SPAN>-Has hit the board a few times during 2010, each time in low-level claimers.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Returns to this level but the speed is a concern (mid 70-low 80 range).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Winner will probably be around 85 a number he hasn\u2019t hit since mid-2009.<\/P>

11.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Power Fleet\u00a0 <\/SPAN>6-1<\/SPAN>-Nice speeds of upper 80 to lower 90\u2019s for most of 2010.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Numbers dropped in fall of 2010 and horse has been resting since.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>If ready, looks like he\u2019ll be dangerous.<\/P>

12.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Catyver\u00a0 <\/SPAN>42-1<\/SPAN>-Lightly raced during 2010 and is making first start since July.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Speeds were 72 or lower last season.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Taking big drop in class from allowance level which will be beneficial.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>If rest turns out to also be beneficial, could be a huge payout.<\/P>

13.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Dead Storm Chaser\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>35-1<\/SPAN>-Raced on dirt five times during 2010 with speeds in the low to mid 70 range.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Last start was on turf in October, scoring a career best 80.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Doesn\u2019t look like much of a dirt runner, but the grass could be a different story.<\/P>

14.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Tap the Bull\u00a0 <\/SPAN>12-1<\/SPAN>-A front runner who hasn\u2019t been able to stay there.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Doesn\u2019t look likely that will change in this race but if a different strategy is used, that could change things.<\/P>

These Non-winner conditionals are tough to figure out as any horse could unexpectedly come to life.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Darth Stoners is getting my pick as I think the rest will work out very well with this horse.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Longshot players may like the investment opportunity also.<\/P>

Power Fleet is another who may benefit with his rest and is my second selection.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Tropical Colors is my third selection as his early speed could last long enough to get on the board.<\/P>
