In last week\u2019s edition of the Spotlight racing article, we got back on track by nailing the winner with 3-1 Tootsie Bite who made it look all too easy.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Tootsie rallied from ninth to win by over 4 strides, much of the gain coming in the last quarter of the race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Tootsie has now won 2 races in a row and was claimed out of the race, for the second time in a row.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

2-1 favorite I Make it Rain looked like she was injured in the race, finishing last.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I wasn\u2019t surprised to see her also be claimed, but what was surprising was that she was instantly retired by her new barn connection and has already bred her first offspring.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Now on to this weeks race\u2026The spotlight is on the road and has arrived in Norway<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The eleventh race is our focus this week which is a bid race for Dannejeka, who happens to train the favorite in this race.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It is a maiden special weight race, on the turf for fillies and mares age 3.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

1.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Aerolink\u00a0 <\/SPAN>11-1<\/SPAN>-makes 3rd<\/SUP> start on grass, first was in April, finishing 3rd<\/SUP> in short field of four.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Last month finished 2nd<\/SUP> missing by a stride with a much improved speed of 72.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Sired by Sakhee where the offspring have raced favorably on turf.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Does stretch out in distance.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/P>

2.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Tappin Hard\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>9-1<\/SPAN>-two career starts, one on each surface.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Ran out of the money in both starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Doesn\u2019t look like a serious contender in this race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Looks like this one will need a few more starts to find her stride.<\/P>

3.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Americanish\u00a0 <\/SPAN>36-1<\/SPAN>-also has a pair of starts on both surfaces with best speed of 51 on grass.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Has finished well back in both starts and will add quarter mile in distance in attempt to find something this girl might like.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Risky bet.<\/P>

4.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Bantu Languages\u00a0 <\/SPAN>7-1<\/SPAN>-mare has raced in a series of residency restricted dirt races with decent speeds from 62 to 71.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Making debut start on grass and sire favors grass.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Decent price for those that are interested in the wager.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

5.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Montjeudar\u00a0 <\/SPAN>1-1<\/SPAN>-nicely bred grass runner came up a stride short last month in her only start\u00a0 <\/SPAN>going 7 furlongs with a speed of 74.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The extra furlong will give her more than enough time to make it to the front and the outlook is promising.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

6.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Ariosta\u00a0 <\/SPAN>22-1<\/SPAN>-first time starter out of Adlerflug, whose children ran for first time last year and showed a greater desire towards the grass.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The breeding line doesn\u2019t lift the eyebrow and I\u2019d like to see what she can do before betting on.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

7.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>My Red Eye\u00a0 <\/SPAN>20-1<\/SPAN>-grass is in this mare\u2019s bloodline, but in two starts, the best speed she has produced is a 53.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She lost ground in each race and extends from 6.5f to a mile.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I\u2019m not feeling that the added distance will improve the outcome, but this horse has been sidelined for over 3 months and the added training time may actually improve the outcome\u2026stay tuned!<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

8.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Desp\u2019s Dylan\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>5-2<\/SPAN>-a Dylan Thomas sired mare who will be running on the track for the first time.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Shows promise as a first time starter based on the breeding factor.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I\u2019m a bit hesitant, but I always am with first timers.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

9.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Brissy Lass\u00a0 <\/SPAN>13-1<\/SPAN>-a decent speed of 66 first time out on Christmas Day, facing others that had a few races under their belt resulting in 7th<\/SUP> place finish.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Could improve the speed number, but coming back to track awfully quick.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Hard to go against Montjeudar who is in very good spot to break her maiden.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Jockey H. Knott was outstanding last week, delivering 7 winners and in-the-money 74% in 9 starts.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Bantu Languages has me intrigued to see how she\u2019ll do on switchover from dirt.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She\u2019s my second choice and could find the turf to her liking.<\/P>
