{"id":8706,"date":"2010-11-30T19:07:06","date_gmt":"2010-11-30T19:07:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blacktypebugler.com\/?p=8706"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","slug":"oldbtb_2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/btb.ehorseracing.com\/?p=8706","title":{"rendered":"AFC takes Sterile Mile with SEVEN ONE FOUR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><FONT size=2><P><STRONG>By ITCH<\/STRONG><\/P><P>It was a closer&#8217;s race this past Saturday in <EM><STRONG>New York&#8217;s Grade I Sterile Mile<\/STRONG><\/EM>, and <EM>AFC&#8217;s<\/EM> <STRONG>SEVEN ONE FOUR<\/STRONG> had first run and held for a big Grade I score.<\/P><P>Seven One Four, a 4yo brown son of Dylan Thomas, jumps all the way into the Sim&#8217;s Top 10 older route horses, taking the No. 9 spot with all those points he got on Saturday.<\/P><P>Seven One Four was reserved in 10th place, and the eventual second- and third-place runners were even farther back than that. A number of horses pressed the pace set by <EM>Lenny&#8217;s<\/EM> <STRONG>JUILLET BLUES<\/STRONG>, and none of those survived when the closers came running. <\/P><P><EM>Balata&#8217;s <\/EM><STRONG>WINDSOR BALLET<\/STRONG> ran hard to be second, and Seven One Four had to reach down deep to hold off this brown 5yo son of Bernardini.
