QE2 Challenge Grade I Recap<\/FONT><\/STRONG><\/P>

Just a quick recap of the QE2 run over 9f on the turf.<\/P>

As predicted Cold Storage<\/STRONG> won comfortably, leading wire to wire and winning easing up. A good turf speed figure of 105 too so her trainer Springtim<\/EM>e has plenty to be happy about. There’s more to come from this one. Basically most of the runners ran as predicted, with two notable exceptions. Mongoose Jedi, Buck Wild<\/STRONG> and King Snake<\/STRONG> all want further (although i did say Buck Wild<\/STRONG> was outclassed- wrong she is clearly a graded runner). Iron Shoes<\/STRONG> closed to late but got third. She will improve again and look for her next time out.<\/P>

Now here’s the exceptions- Abigail <\/STRONG>ran a stinker first time out at this level. Dropped back into stakes for a few runs will benfit her. Dew Bomb<\/STRONG> ran well above my expectations. She clearly needed her first grade I run in her previous race and is still improving. Can go on from here and again should be followed nexr time out.<\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
