The favorite, Wolfman Has Nards (Yes, this name does come from the CMD stables) comes in off competitive runs in about 10 straight races. But he has only won two. Let’s get to the race!

PP #1 Hydrocodone-Dynaformer x Sadler’s Wells x Silver Hawk, 8-1 with C Strehl up (10.2%)
Stable: The Danby Road Connection (GR Simsters)
This filly against the boy had her six win streak snapped last time out in an 11.5 furlong listed. She is a pretty consistent filly, winning 50% of her races, and finishing on the board 80%. Last time out she ran around in place, never making a move, finishing 3rd beaten 7 ½. Two back she went gate to wire in a 12 furlong listed, she was never challenged winning by almost four. She earned a 92 speed figure. She should be in the middle of the pack early, and needs to step it up to contend.

PP #2 Caprock-Authorized x Gone West x Theatrical, 5-2 with M Spencer up (11.2%)
Stable: Pedro’s Racing Empire (EAAA Racing)
After placing and winning in dirt stakes, this colt tried turf again for the 4th time. This colt has run over the 100 speed figure mark four straight times. Last out, he broke 3rd of five in a 13 furlong allowance. Coming around the turn, he moved into 2nd, 3 lengths away. He blew by the eventual 3rd place finisher to win eased by almost 5. He earned a 101 speed. Two back he raced in 10 furlong dirt allowance. He really never came with a run finishing 3rd beaten more than nine. He earned a 100 speed. Will be in the back early, and his latest effort encourages me.

PP #3 Big John Cannon-High Chaparral x Irish River x Great Nephew, 11-1 with J Walsh up (12.6%)
Stable: The Golden Gale Stables (Bargain Bred Racing Series)
This colt is the one that will probably get the early lead. Last out he raced in the G2 Irish Saint Legend at 14 furlongs against elders. He came into the races as by far, the longest shot. He stalked the leader early on, he was still in 2nd at the 3rd call, but was 6 lengths down. He tired late to finish 5 beaten 14 ½. Three back he won the G3 Queen’s Flower Pot at 16 furlongs. He took of a race with not much pace, and not too many horses to go gate to wire winning by 2 ½. He earned an 87 speed figure. Like mentioned previously, should have the lead early, but needs a step up to still have the lead in the later stages.

PP #4 Dynamic Destiny-Dynaformer x Nijinsky II x Danzig, 5-1 with E Bernstein up (18.9%)
Stable: Phantom Pharms (Comedy Central)
Another that had a win streak snapped last time out. He raced in the G1 Owner’s Stakes at 12 furlongs. For the first half of the race, he raced in mid pack. He improved his position into 4th going around the turn. But he didn’t have anything left for the lane, finishing 4th beaten 13 ½. He still earned a nice number, a 100. Two back he won the G3 Czech Derby at 12 furlongs. He sat 3rd of six in the early stages. He moved within a half length of the lead into 2nd going around the turn, he drew off late to win by almost 3. He earned a 99 speed. Will be sitting right off the lead early, and is interesting at 5-1.

PP #5 Giant Party-Giant’s Causeway x Fusaichi Pegasus x Awesome Again, 9-2 with Q Swanson up (10.1%)
Stable: Bigjet Stables (Blazing Saddles)
This deep closer went back to listed company last time out. He raced in the Texan A.P. Memorial at 12 furlongs. Going into the race he was the favorite of four. He was last of the four for the first half of the 12 furlong journey. He moved into 3rd coming around the turn, he closed very well late, but couldn’t get to the gate to wire winner late only beaten 1. He earned a 100 speed. Two back he tried G1 company in the French Grand Prix. He was last for pretty much the whole race expect for a late rally which he split the field to get 6th beaten 12 ¼. Will be in the back with the favorite early, and might give him a challenge.

PP #6 Wolfman Has Nards-Ghostzapper x Sadler’s Wells x Seattle Slew, 6-5 with T Small up (25.9%)
Stable: Cmd Stables (Comedy Central)
Racing 14 times this year, this colt has only been worth than 5th, once. His last 11 have either been in graded or listed company. His last was the G2 Saint Legend at 14 furlongs. He went into the race as the heavy favorite of eleven. As usual he was far back early. He moved into 8th coming around the turn. He made up 11 lengths from the 3rd to last call, but still couldn’t get there, finishing 3rd beaten only 1. He earned a nice 106 speed figure. Two back he raced in the G2 Georgie Burns Gracie Allen Invitational at 12 furlongs. Again going into the race as the favorite, but he didn’t run as well in this one, finishing 5th beaten 10 ¼. Will be far, far back early and should be coming late.

Morning Line: 6-2-5-4
Gowans: 6-2-4-5

God luck to all connections!!

[2

post-8524","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
