This race has a purse of $250,000 and we have 13 fillies taking the gate.

1. DELIGHTFUL CARD (GER) 2 year old filly (Greinton X City Zip X Halo’s Image) Trained by Henryseego, this filly has 6 races under her belt and two wins, a maiden and an allowance win. Her winning speeds were 69 and 66 and both were in sprints. Her best speed of a 71 came during a mile allowance race where she was closing and finished 4th. May like the extra distance but will really need a good speed boost to be competitive. It also worries me that her two wins came on shorter distances. Some horses when they close but don’t get there actually want shorter races not longer. The fact her speed was higher says she does like longer. Good luck.

2. 2. MULLET MAN (AUS) 2 year old filly (Lonhro X Unbridled’s Song x Sky Mesa) This filly is trained by Hasslehoff, has won her last three starts one on turf and two on dirt. She broke her maiden on turf and then won an allowance race going 5 furlongs on dirt. That raced showed a preference for the dirt surface. Her next race a mile allowance race resulted in a win with a 77 speed. Pretty fast will need to show improvement again but a mile on dirt seems to be a great place for this filly.

3. BRRRRR (KY) 2 year old filly (Distorted Humor X Storm Cat X Seattle Slew) Trained by Ticketman0, this royally bred filly broke her maiden first try then in her first allowance attempt ran 5th. The trainer saw this and expertly put her in a mile allowance which she won. That 77 speed showed her preference for the longer distance. The breeding suggest that she will be very happy here and her last race proves it. She will have to improve to get in the money here.

4. THRILLER NIGHT (GB) 2 year old filly (Medicean X Danehill Dancer X Frappiano) This filly is trained by Worldwide, and she broke her maiden on her first asking posting a 74 speed and finishing strong going 7 furlongs. She then tried a graded sprint race going 6.5 on dirt but she did not finish well. The added distance seems to be in order. But with her breeding if she runs poorly I would go turf. She is bred to love the grass and distance.

5. BUSTED CAPER (KY) 2 year old filly (Van Nistelrooy X Broken Vow X Pin Bluff) Trained by Wwait2breed, this horse has three starts and her best start last out was a mile stakes race. She won easily with an 80 speed and given what I have seen so far of the competition this puts her ahead in my books. She has experience over the distance and has won a stakes. The next step up for her is this race and it would be perfect.

6. NO MENSA FOR MONTE (KY) 2 year old filly (Einstein X Daylami X Polish Numbers) This filly is trained by Monte1a, after on start on turf this filly made her debut on dirt winning a spring maiden race, then an allowance both at 5 furlongs which is very short. She then went in a 6.5 g3 stakes race where she finished a 3rd. She was closing strong and I think the added distance should help her. Would have liked to see a mile stakes race before this one but two year olds are resilient and can improve anywhere.

7. FORTUNES OF WAR (KY) 2 year old filly (Malibu Moon X Montjeu X Blushing Groom) Trained by Super21, this filly broke her maiden at first asking then ran second in a dirt sprint stakes where she finished second by a nose. She then went in a 7.5 furlong stakes where she ran an 82 speed and won. Her last race was a G3 7.5 furlong in which she was closing and looking for more ground she ran an 88 speed. Very dangerous filly I think she will be a tough one if she likes a mile plus.

8. WICKED HUMOR (KY) 2 year old filly (Distorted Humor X Unbridled’s Song X War Chant) This filly is trained by 2ofus, has won only her maiden race which she managed on first asking. She has finished 3rd and 2nd in stakes race. The second place was going a mile on dirt and she was closing hard. The 78 speed she posted could have been better. However, I am sure she will this time out.

9. PASQUALENA D (KY) 2 year old filly (Malibu Moon X Seattle Slew X Danzig) Trained by Guyinchlt, has 4 starts and 3 wins. She won her first two races in sprints on dirt. She posted good speeds in a maiden race and an allowance race and then tried two 6.5 furlong graded races. One she finished second with an 85 speed and the other she won with an 82 speed and by 1 length. I think her breeding says she will like longer. She has experience against graded competition and I think she will do well in this start.

10. ZENNY HENNY (KY) 2 year old filly (Zensational X Rock Hard Ten X Storm Cat) This filly is trained by Nyrangers, and has 7 races to her name giving her experience. I love her breeding but to be honest I wouldn’t hesitate to try turf at some point. She broke her maiden on second asking back in April and it took her till July and August to win again. She won two allowance races going 5 and 5.5 furlongs. A far cry from the distance both her breeding and running style suggests. Her best speed is a 73 but I see her doing well at this distance and improving in this race but it is a question of how much improvement.

11. DROID (KY) 2 year old filly (Curlin X A.P. Indy X Caerleon) Trained by Pincay, this filly has shown some desire for more distance in her last two races both at 7.5 one allowance and one stakes. Though her speeds were decent 80 and 77 respectively what I like the most is how she finished. Both those starts she closed and got out closed. With the added distance I actually see her thriving. Likes the surface breeding also suggest distance. Nice filly and good luck Vett.

12. MY BONES ROCK (JPN) 2 year old filly (Johannesburg X Caledonian Bay X Rhoman Rule) This filly is trained by Windsong91, this girl is another filly with only a maiden win. Most of the time those horses do not fare well in their first graded attempt. This one does have intrigue. She started her career with a sprint maiden special weight where she failed. Her next start in an allowance was much better winning with ease going a mile and putting up an 80 speed. If she can handle the maiden to graded curse she could do very well.

13. FIRST WARNING (KY) 2 year old filly (First Samurai X A.P. Indy X Roberto) Trained by Given4, this filly is the only undefeated horse in the race and there is a good reason too. She has never lost a race by less than 1 ¾ lengths and often by more. She has won two 6 furlongs and two mile races. Her last race a mile stakes proved to be her best outing. She posted an 81 speed, and won easily. She showed she can go faster the race before in an allowance posting an 84. Very nice filly if I picked winners she would likely be it.

No picking winners as babies are so unpredictable and I hate looking bad LOL… Good luck to all.

[2

post-8482","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
